I recently 100%ed the achievments for ME3, and I've looked back to discover I am missing only the achievment for an insanity runs for ME1 and ME2, if I obtain this, I will have 100%ed the trilogy. So, this summer, I'm going to attempt that, starting with ME2 and then going back to ME1, because the gameplay of ME2 and 3 have spoiled me for ME1, and that is the game I dread returning to most. So, I'm asking if anyone has any tips for a good ME2 build for insanity run, and less importantly, if they had any like suggestions for ME1, since I'll have to do that eventually, too.
Insanity run for Mass Effect 2.

Have you checked List of Strategy Guides Found on the Forum? These should all be based around Insanity.
For ME2, the easiest class may be Soldier with the Mattock (DLC weapon). Activate Adrenaline Rush and then destroy everything with the Finger of God. But that also may be considered boring and/or bland. For other classes, check the link I provided.
For ME1, as long as you start a new game with an existing character you should be pretty good. Just switch to Insanity difficulty as soon as you can. (Note for ME1, you must have completed the entire game on Hardcore to have unlocked Insanity.) The reason why a new game with an existing character is easier is because you start with all your gear and points, which means you should already be overpowered at this point.

You know me, I was too lazy to actually LOOK AROUND first. Thanks for the link, though.
