How??? Because it feels like 45% of the time, I hit the ops pack button and my character pulls out the Cobra instead. When I know I absolutely hit the right D-pad button and did not fat finger the top D-pad button at all.

Nothing makes me curse over the mic nearly as bad as the "I DIDN'T WANT MY FREAKING MISSILE LAUNCHER JUST GIMME MY OPS PACK, GORRAMMIT!!!!" Not even geth stunlock infuriates me as badly as that.

i didnt say it never happens.. i said it happens less often than on ecks bawks

ps3 controllers have thier buttons seperated... ecks bawks is just one big button you have to deal with.

Thats what I was saying, I bought an aftermarket controller with PS3 like D-Pad and it still will pull the launcher instead of op-packing me

Well, you gotta admit they kind of set themselves up for it and they keep feeding it. Have been since the thread that started the glorious new era of the 'combined' spectre branches. Which is actually just SpecX with a couple players from PC and from PS3 added, but whatevs, it's cool.

OP, I play on PC, and I still bring up the command HUD, every time I want to use a medigel. The quick key is right there! Why don't I use it!? WHY!?

Erm, what's going on with these random strops that keep happening in the middle of threads?

Anyways, back to the point. I keep doing something random, but not what others are saying, and it's only started happening recently for some reason. I keep going to the Cobra in times of panic, then decide whilst it's arming that I don't need it after all, go for my triangle power or circle to melee, but instead hit square to change back to my main weapon. I find I'm dying a lot more recently as I do a peculiar "weapon-switch dance" in the face of enemies.

It's nothing personal, it's just not going to work out. Too unreliable, can never count on anything. <_<

It's a shame, really, I hear 50% of joysticks go through this.

funny that, i am opposite I take out my missle launcher when trying to use an ops pack.  Same with ammo, i take out my dang rocket.

Same here.  I can never get Ops Packs to work right.  Either I hit up and pull out a missile (which sometimes is useful after I go down b/c the Ops Pack didn't work), or I hit down and end up dying and accidentally insta-gelling, or I actually do get the Ops Pack to work and I die anyway (but I have full shields when I get up!).  I hate Ops Packs....

Had a crazy one about an hour ago. I'm faced with a marauder and ravager and running out of ammo, hit a thermal clip pack and carried on shooting, only to notice the following in the kill feed:
