Yeah and then at the lack of reasonable arguments the PC gamers start throwing insults and namecalling and spam insulting images.

You can also be called a tool for refusing to accept someone else's opinion and resorting to insults.

I bought the PC version first and picked the XBox version up later when the price dropped. I liked the 360 version more (this is the reason I made the major mistake of buying Dragon Age on the 360....a mistake that will be rectified after I get sick of ME2). There were bugs in the PC version but nothing major. Ultimately there wasn't much difference.

I was expecting as much...the typical PC gamer denial response which extends to "I had no problems" while completely ignoring the well documented support forums and BioWare's own admission that the game was in desperate need of a patch even as the gamers were getting angry at its absence and had to wait over a year after the PC version was released which was 6 months after the console version was released and so on.

Frankly I don't even bother with the denials anymore....the FACTS are very well documented.

As for linking a PC to a TV....that's just impractical. I don't want to bring a computer there to either have wires lie across the way for my family to trip on daily and to deprive me of being able to have a drink and some snacks out of fear I'll fry the damn thing.

No one is denying anything. I just find it specious that you are making claims about a game I assume you never played. I did play ME1 excusively on the PC, and had no problems. That's all I was saying. Whether other people did or not is really their problem, not mine.

And you are aware that you can purchase wireless devices, yes? The 360 has wireless controllers, for heaven's sake.  I have a coffee table, and my wireless keyboard and mouse go on an underslung shelf. It's actually extremely practical.

Darth, you seem to ignore just about every argument for a PC. We (PC gamers) can adjust our resolution, download mods, create mods and can do anything a console gamer can do. I have surround sound for my PC as well as a fairly large monitor and why the hell could a PC gamer not have snacks or a drink? I'm enjoying a good cup of tea right now with some chips and nothing is exploding. Yes, the sky is falling around me and dogs are being friends with cats, but I can't attribute that to the folly of using my PC.

SORRY didn't want to start a war, just wanted to find out if the was an major difference between game on the two systems, sounds like there may not be. With DO:A there is a huge difference between PC and XBOX so I just wanted clarification between ME1 on the two system.

I missed mentioning that as well. I have a complete Harmon Kardon 7.1 surround with my PC. There is almost nothing different between my experience and that of a console gamer, except I get to use a keyboard and mouse, have better graphics, and also have a computer at my fingertips at all times.

not your fault.
ME2 should be identical on both the PC and 360 this time around as BioWare developed both at the same time (Besides the normal pc enhancment, higher resolution, custom controls, ect). Instead of passing it off to a third party like with the original Mass Effect.

You can't go wrong either way.

No where remotely close to being that big a difference.  They're virtually the same

Agh, this argument always happens, no matter how seemingly innocent the thread. Not your fault, OP. As Terminator 800 said, "It was only a matter of time." OP, I recommend you find a friend or someone with the PC version and sit down and play a bit to decide which version you like best. I think after you've experienced the nuances of the PC version and experienced what matters most (the GAME), then you can decide how comfortable you want to be while playing or what snacks to have around (that apparently might make your computer explode for no good reason!).

All right, then the real answer is that the PC version will have more quick slots, and a slightly different interface. If you are going purely off the differences between the actual game intereface, I prefered both DAO on ME1 on the PC.

Othere then that, they are basically the same. And if you have saves from your original Xbox playthroughs, your game will be greatly enhanced by importing those saves. So I would say get the 360 version.

Hey, look at that! A died in the wool, hardcore PC gamer recommending a 360 games? Imagine that. We're all gamers, people.

There's something about PC games (To me atleast) that makes them so much better than games on consoles.  I feel more in the action and immersed rather than sitting in my living room playing 360.

The PC just feels so much smoother to me, I'm 10x better at FPS / shooter games in general with a PC mouse compared to a controller.

Always gonna be debate over which is better but just play which suits you.

(PC all the way though )

There are no mods for ME and ME2 won't have them either(not to mention they are often incompatible with official DLC and patches and such to add to the nightmares, No Thanks) and gaming on a PC for 3 extra pixels or throwing money in upgrading my PC every year as well as more money to repalce it every 3 to four years with a newer one just to be able to run the newest gmes. And as I said all the well doccumented nightmares and technical issues that I simply have no patience for. I am NOT paid for the time I waste dealing with that nonsense. I pay for a game to put it in the tray and instantly play it without problems. I have taken several programing classes and I am fairly knowledgeable about handling a PC and performing driver updates and so on and so forth.....games simply don't run right on the PC and I have no reason to put up with that platform's trash for an insignifficant boost to graphics.

I can't believe this!

edit: also note, I have no problem with people who want to play on the 360. Its just, if you're this misinformed, I feel obligated to point it out.

Don't come into a thread next time and spout out blatantly wrong information and you won't  have a problem. If you're wrong, I'm going to tell you that. Then when you ignore it and press on with your obviously deeply held beliefs, I'm going to make fun of you.

Blah blah blah.

We've heard all this from you before. When I play ME1 on the PC, I literally have TWICE the number of pixels, genius.

I have not spent one red cent to upgrade my PC in the last two years, during which time my 360 has red-ringed twice.

And once again, I will state clearly that I have never had a serious bug with a Bioware game.

None of your arguments hold water, and you clearly have no experience with the things you are describing.
