Yep....PC gamers right back to spam I see.....I am done here.

Don't come into a thread next time and spout out blatantly wrong information and you won't  have a problem.

I am not so missinformed as you are in denial. As I said the infinite issues are extremely well documented....that part isn't up for debate.....but no ammount of prrof and facts will keep you from denying and spamming.

Did a PC molest you as a child or something?

Consoles are simplified and standarised PCs. PCs provide more options to the player, that's all. Anything a console can do, a PC can do too; it doesn't work the other way around.

I prefer the consoles, but I do like playing Halo 1 online on my PC.

Atleast we keep them on their toes.  We are forging the forum mods in to the most elite tactical thread lockers to date.  This is no small task mind you.  Maker preserve us.

You overestimate the difficulty of typing a witty reply followed by LOCKDOWN

I suggest getting it for whichever system you have your saves on.  Personally, I prefer the 360 for FPS-type games.  <3Halo3<3

I just my biggest question is, was ME1 a port from PC to XBOX360 or the other way around. When it comes to FPS games I like my XBOX360 only because my laptop is great in every area but the graphics card only like 64mb so most of my games are on XBOX.

Mass Effect was programmed and designed for the Xbox 360.  It was later ported to the PC (via a third party, which historically usually leads to trouble).

How many threads are we going to get on this subject?

Anyway, it simply comes down to this:

ME saves on 360 and not willing to play the PC version to gain the saves = get the 360 version

no saves, never played the first game and have a computer unable to run it at a good settings = 360 version

or if you've got a good computer and new to the ME series... get the PC version

As someone who owns both the Xbox and PC version, I'd have to say it really depends on which controls you prefer. Controller or mouse+keyboard? But then again, both are easy to learn, so maybe it's more about where you're most comfortable playing. I play both my PC and Xbox sitting at my computer desk in my comfortable computer chair (what's up with console players apparently not bothering to get comfortable computer chairs?), so it's really not a factor for me like it is for others. I would have to say I prefer the Xbox version, though, simply because I like the decryption/electronics button pressing better than the navigate-your-arrow-through-annoying-rotating-blocks crap you have to do in the PC version. Despite that preference I've ordered ME2 for PC. They've apparently revamped hacking completely, so it's all good.

Some "Darth" might disagree - but... If your PC is good enough to run the game smooth on high settings, take the PC version. Always.

Ejon is correct and not being a fanboy. Bioware did use high textures

Also they fixed some stuff...but it was really buggy. I have both the PC and 360 version I only play the 360 version when I feel like laying down since I have a huge monitor I get a higher resolution then a 360 can give me.

Bah, apparently my attempt at humor failed :(    Just saying, get the version you want.  I'm blasted sure they'll both rock your socks off :)

There are no mods for ME and ME2 won't have them either(not to mention they are often incompatible with official DLC and patches and such to add to the nightmares, No Thanks) and gaming on a PC for 3 extra pixels or throwing money in upgrading my PC every year as well as more money to repalce it every 3 to four years with a newer one just to be able to run the newest gmes. And as I said all the well doccumented nightmares and technical issues that I simply have no patience for. I am NOT paid for the time I waste dealing with that nonsense. I pay for a game to put it in the tray and instantly play it without problems. I have taken several programing classes and I am fairly knowledgeable about handling a PC and performing driver updates and so on and so forth.....games simply don't run right on the PC and I have no reason to put up with that platform's trash for an insignifficant boost to graphics.

For warning look out everyone about to rant at Darth_Trethon:

Okay I have had it!!

Your arrogance is undaunting Darth_Trethon!  You really should know that not all drivers need updating; if a driver causes a problem downgrade it to work properly. That is if the driver is indeed the problem, which it usually isn't but is far more often related to the software programs that can conflict and cause issues. What well documented technical issues? Show me where and I guarantee I could fix the gist of them. Yes, I'm quite computer savy too.  A good example: DA:O Toolset working in Win XP SP2 top that!  Are you one of those who beat the life out of a pc?: Maxing out settings, overclocking, extera. If you would take care of a computer it would last you longer than just four measily years. Underclocking  is always better than overclocking + it extends the life of the computer twofold: 2.4 GHz to 1.8GHz = 6-8 years. Not to mention makes programs run smoother. The first new pc I bought was this year, my other computer I have been using had been running close to eight years and it still plays DA:O & ME on medium settings! Graphically speaking I dont care about high resolutions. I prefer low res. with high graphics than vica versa. Practicality beats presumptuous graphics and resolutions in my opinion. You know what MOD means right? Well ME has modding ability very easily. Just tweaking the INI files is one easy way of modding ME. The INI files allow MODification of many things like: aesthetic changes, increased ai combat to pyshopath gruelish, nonchaging key button loadout upon each game launch, ectra. Oh by the way I'm not being paid near enough to fix your computer issues if all you are going to do is complain about the device needing fixing.

Proof of some aesthetic changes:

The PC version was much better on the technical side. Things like frame rate, resolution and so on. The rest was pretty much the same.

It really depends on preference. The menu/graphics were better to me on the PC, but I HATED the M.A.K.O. Granted, I hated it on the Xbox too, but it was easier to manage for me with a controller than with a keyboard/mouse.

That being said, I'm still getting ME2 on the Xbox first; for some reason it just feels more "right" to me on the console, but that might be because I played it on there first and am more used to the controls on a 360.

No Bioware forum is complete without some crappy PC vs Consoles topic.

*sigh* Let the misinformation and gross stereotypes fly free.
