So I have seen alot of people who have Hawke's that are in the level 30's to 40's. How do they pull it off? The highest I ever got was in the mid 20's and that was playing DLC's too. So if anyone wants to share with me on how to do such, that would be pretty cool.

The people that are level 40-50 probably would have used the level-up exploit - that is, using the glitch that allows you to turn in one of the 'find and deliver' side-quests again and again. I think it was fixed post-patch.
Alternatively, people on pc may have just used console commands to reach their desired level.
The max level it's possible to reach from quests/fights etc is probably ~level 30. It probably requires you to equip as much +%experience gear as possible, complete every side-quest/enemy encounter in both the main game and dlc, and save the elixir of heroism till the very end of the game. I'm not sure if it actually makes much of difference, but there was some discussion on how the various import options could impact on the xp available.
In any case, a higher level doesn't necessarily make your team more powerful, since enemies scale with you. In fact, reaching too high a level can reduce the relative level bonus from extra attribute points and high-levelled (non-dlc) gear, with set item-levels.

It wasn't something I really wanted to do myself so much as I was more curious as to how they were able to do it. I have played DA2 a ton of times and I never got beyond mid 20's myself. Anyway, thanks for letting me know how they do it
