After watching GameSpot's awesome new ME2 customization video, it left me wondering about whether or not our imported save games are gender locked.  I mean, wouldn't it be unusual, in the context of the ME universe, for Shephard to disappear and then suddenly pop up again and have changed genders?  So are our imported saves gender-locked or can it be changed?  If so, would characters react accordingly?

Ah, any dev posts or articles you could link for confirmation? It seems unlikely to me, due to the fact that it probably would require an extra bunch of recorded reaction dialogue from the swap.
