Before I make my list I'll preface this by saying I play on gold almost exclusively. these combos have all been tried on gold and work.

'Salt Rifles:

Valkyrie - Quarksman
Harrier - Quarian Infiltrator (suck it Quarksman, I like my Arc Grenades)
Prothean Particle Rifle - N7 Destroyer
Adas Anti Synthetic Rifle - Quarian Engineer (sexy sexy fire 'splosions)
Geth Pissfire - Geth Trooper (turn your ordinary boring trooper into a T-1000 from humanities little known horrendous war with their own created synthetics)

Collector Assault Rifle - TGI (this seems to be really controversial as I didn't put the TGI with the Harrier and no one seems to like the CAR. if i may say, the CAR is a terrific gun and you are all using it wrong. sure it's not a Harrier, but it excels in priming enemies with powers and with the stability afforded from the TGI you can put an extended mag and either armour piercing or extended barrel. put an assault rifle amp on and it's easily gold viable. even without an amp it's gold viable, you use it and overload to get rid of shields, you keep shooting and prime them for a tech burst or fire 'splosion and hit em with overload again. the only downside is that even with fire 'splosions it doesn't chew through armour, so I pack a Carnifex or Executioner with armour piercing and heavy barrel [the piercing and damage one] and use that exclusively for bosses or one shotting mooks with an amp. this gun deserves no hate, its easily gold viable in the right hands and those hands are mine!) /rant

Boomsticks:
Reegar - Asari Valkyrie
N7 Piranha - GI (don't care about using my Jav 5 on him for insane damage, tried it wasn't happy with it. I don't like the Jav it's just not my cup of tea. a GI shotgun build however is amazing and this glass cannon is fantastic on Gold)
Claymore - AIU (I guess. it's good but I prefer using my Reegar on her more but i couldn't think of another weapon for the AV...)
Graal - Bat Brawler

SMGs:
Hurricane - Asari Huntress with Warp Ammo. Queen of the Deeps
CSMG - any power class really. Human Sentinel I guess
Locust - Turian Soldier (need i say more?)
Hornet - Ex-Cerberus for lore
Tempest - Human Engineer

Longer ranged boomsticks:

CSR - I usually like running this on the N7 Destroyer but I put him down already so N7 Demolisher
BW - NO ONE BECAUSE I HAVE A BW 1 AND WHY SHOULD I USE IT?
Widow - Human Infiltrator
Valiant - SI because **** you thats why
Indra - any class that can abuse warp ammo. i use it a lot on the Turian Sentinal
Kishock - BatSol

Pistols:
Acolyte - N7 Fury
Carnifex - Asari Adept
Talon - Cabal Vanguard

Talon - Everything.

Seriously, you can put a Talon on anything and it will always be one of the best possible options you could use.  There's few other guns you can say that about.  The Hurricane, Wraith, or Lancer are the closest, I guess.

Because it regenerates ammo, so you don't have to go to ammo crates. And the Juggernaut gets a 170% cooldown with a Reegar unless you've got a HVB on it, so you can spam Siege Pulse with it just as well.

^ Then won't the PPR be better for the Jugg?

I find that with Jugg's passive bonus to ammo capacity I never run out with my Reegar + Hurricane combo. They contain enough ammo to kill an entire wave of enemies on Gold.

YUP. There's probably more effective weapons out there *ahem Javelin, PPR* but if you can stand there and dump lead into foreheads, why the heck not?

Supressor - Demolisher - The Supressor has great DPS, and is only really held back by its crippling ammo shortage. The Demolisher carries ammo on her back. Perfect match.

Crusader - Quarian Female Infiltrator - The Crusader has high damage per shot AND per second (rare combo), and it's the only gun that can carry an Omniblade without any serious sacrifice, while being useable at all ranges and able to pierce light cover/Guardian shields. The QFI has Sabotage stagger to mitigate Crusader's aiming quirks, and Sticky nades to force Phantoms into their bubble.

Krysae - Salarian Infiltrator - A sniper rifle with at least 600 base damage, used under Tactical Cloak with r6 Sniper evo, can OHK most undefended Gold infantry with a bodyshot (the number is more like 300 with headshot). The Krysae does 616 base damage, and the Salarian has Energy Drain to make sure most Gold infantry are undefended.

Valkyrie - Turian Sentinel - The Valkyrie has decent DPS plus a headshot bonus, but is somewhat held back by accuracy and stability issues. Turian passives take care of stability, while a Scope eliminates accuracy problems. Warp weakens armor, compensating for a lack of AP mod. Overload/Warp stagger makes for easy headshots.

Executioner - Geth Engineer - A GE with Executioner can OHK most undefended Gold infantry with a bodyshot (Dragoon requires headshot, Pyro requires the tank be pierced or headshot), and Overload can strip the Shields/Barriers from all Gold infantry.

Pirahna - Cabal - Pirahna has fantastic DPS, but low effective range. Cabal has the mobility to get into range and Biotic Focus gives the survivability to stay there. The clip size, ROF and weight of the Pirahna and resulting cooldown on Biotic Focus also just happen to sync perfectly for BF to act as the reload cancel to the Pirahna.

Eagle - Turian Soldier - Turian passives deal with the minor recoil, and Marksman turns the Eagle from a lightweight sidearm of reasonable DPS into a laser precise bullet hose of headshotting death.

My favorite combo, period, end of story. Geth/Gold and those poor bastards don't stand a chance. The secret is AP barrel + AP ammo. Tears through everything like tissue paper. No other class do I depend on weapons. KrogSent is only weapons, plus the lift grenades (tech armor, obviously, but I activate that at the beginning of the game and never detonate it).

You have some very unique tastes in your weapons selection. :D

I imagine a Salarian Infiltrator would probably feel insulted if asked to use the Krysae - that's why I never use the gun with him. In fact I'm surprised there's no NPC dialogue in the Citadel DLC about the Krysae.

CAR is not a bad gun IMO. I like it on the BatSol with Incendiary ammo, goes very nicely with IGs and BBs. Just stacking DoT errywhere:O

Having used all the weapons I only really use a few now.

My list:

Incisor - TGI  (My aim isn't good enough for the BW, so the Inc does well for me)
Valiant - Shadow (Love this build even though it's not great in Gold)

== Assault Rifles ==
Typhoon - TGI  (My only Platinum build at present)
Harrier - Human Soldier  (Alternate with CS)

== Submachine Guns ==
Hurricane - Drell Vanguard (For some reason I don't like a shotty on the Drell)

== Shotguns ==
Pirhana - Asari Vanguard (These two were made for each other)
Crusader - Krogan Warlord (gives the slow fat git a good ranged attack)

== Heavy Pistols ==
Eagle - Fury (I know everyone uses the Acolyte, I just hate running around with the trigger pressed)

I have more ammo shortage problems with the Striker than I do with the Harrier. I would not use it with Marksman.

Adrenaline Rush though, is very good with the weapon. I'll add that to the OP.
