The thing is that, if you don't do anything with it, it's not a change with any significant impact on you. You likely wouldn't even notice it independently.

[citation needed]

How can you be sure that our method of communication and day-to-day activity hasn't changed after the fundamental augmentation?

I've no doubt that it will, but it'll be voluntary. You could abstain from it if you didn't want to use any augmentations.

I see.

And how does the mutual understanding between all organics and synthetics occur? Is that voluntary as well?

this seems to include evolution as understanding? How would a person communicate a physical state of being?

While I don't care to use that word to express my feelings about Synthesis...is does indeed fit.

Rape...as a word...is not strictly about forced sexual intercourse.

In this case...it's about the violated of the DNA of every single being in the galaxy.

rape isn't a sun tan, as used for shock and awe...Posted Image

I'm not sure what you mean by that?

If you're trying to say that the word Rape doesn't fit for what Synthesis does...you're wrong.

Synthetics simply receive information. Strictly speaking, organics would only receive information too, albeit at a genetic level, but it's easier to intuit with synthetics. I don't know of any synthetics who'd reject knowledge out of hand for emotional reasons, so it'll all work out.

Wrong. The squadmates have different colors.

Grunt glows green.
Miranda glows green.
Joker and EDI both glow green (except for EDI's visor)
James glows green (though his spray on tan makes it difficult to see)
Traynor glows green.
Jacob glows green.
Zaeed glows green.
Wrex glows green.
Major Coats glows green.
Eve glows green.
The little krogan baby in the epilogue slide grows green.
Every single soldier seen in the Synthesis cutscene glows green.

"Violation" denotes an action committed to or for an individual without their consent. It normally includes damage, but mere violation itself has nothing to do with damage.

Indeed.

And "rape" (as a verb) does not mean "forced sex". Forcing sex is a form of rape, yes, but "rape" by itself does not mean forced sex.

It doesn't even need to apply to a person---such as, "raping the land".

Liara's blue, Ashley and Javik are I think orange... I need to see the scene again, but it's not all the same color.

i.e. Levi industrial accident.. toxic spill of intelligence?

really tho, the posters who use that term are generalizing with poor taste...choice of words to represent something they don't understand, for something they THINK they understand. But don't care about definitive expression.

Yeah...like I said...I wouldn't use that term to express my feelings about Synthesis. I was simply pointing out that the term can fit.

the entire MEU reality has a blue hue to it, but I thought that comment about James spray tan incredibly funny..

in any event, they do have a greenish hue to them and the windows to the soul are bright green'n glowy..

I didn't like much that representation, misleading, but the circuits in the leaves really crossed my minds eye, representing the extent of the synthesis beam. Punches Mother Nature fat in the kisser...teach her to evolve stuff..or make such silly rules to take for ever to accomplish 'ascension'. lol

Organics are impatient when it comes to learning and using stuff. They don't, like, live for ever...so it's Rock'n Roll.

It's the same color. Liara is blue all around, so her green circuits are hard to see. Same goes for Javik and his skin being blue/brown.

Ashley isn't even remotely orange.

If I must, very well; things make more sense then. However, I contend that it remains symbolic, as I can't think of any possible way a green energy beam could make people spontaneously grow circuitry.

I leave the thread for twenty minutes, and there's a full additional page about the definition of rape.

This board, huh?

I hate to mention this, but Bioware needs to supply another DLC to explain the crucible engineers. How did they know to interface with Shepard without prior knowledge of who the avatar of organics might be?

Shep has to be the author of the choices menu. But that menu has to interface directly with Shepard and the Catalyst. (as well as good ol' mother nature as well, if not mostly.)

It's the least they can to for Fans..

That's the premiere reason Synthesis is bad. People who like it and/or support it have to headcanon ways for it to make any remote sense.

crap, that's the easy part, how does technology spontaneously gain 'life'?, that's a bigger, unanswerable question right there.. maybe.

Oh, in order to swing something like this, they need to supply a lot more than that.

I suppose a technical explanation would be forthcoming from ALL Sheps as to their 'preferences' and how they actually work, with citation in/of real time..

This is true, and one of my bigger complaints about synthesis.

No matter how many scenarios you come up with the reapers are still alive. I like dead reapers. I like to make my own future.

"It's adaptive in it's design". Any organic who made to that point could have done it.  Kind of like Asari being able to reproduce with any race.

Nah, not really. Many things Sci fi needn't be proven, but merely hinted at. That's why speculation is so  handy for all concerned, when arguing which speculation is canon..

Taken at face value only, in the game/story, synthesis is the essence of the beacons, as they portray a common link amongst the warring parties, if any.

(the reaper thing isn't a war, no matter how many guns are provided, or at least not in a tactical sense, as that doesn't apply.)
