It might help them negotiate better, but it likely wouldn't be enough if the otherside doesn't want to talk.

The goal from day one (ME1) was to stop the reaper threat for good. There's still only one ending that guarantees that reapers will never be a threat again. The others still require crossing fingers and hoping for the best.

The only way to never be threatened again is to become the strongest.

But I guess some only repay fairness with sarcasm. It's sad.
And now I'm actually unsure about wether you're sarcastic or serious yourself...

Synthesis stops it too if you're paying attention.
Destroy stops the short-term threat but does nothing for the underlying one.

And what is the Underlying threat?

We will make more synthetics (thanks to our organic limitations still being there in Destroy) and make ourselves obsolete all over again.
In Synthesis, those limitations are no more.

So now, there is no need to evolve, or grow as a culture since we have everything already. There are two stages to life, growing, or dying. Once a culture reaches it's apex, it begins to decline. So now, civilizations that were no where near their apex are suddenly put there via the Space Magic beam, and now have no reason to evolve. They have, after all, reached the "pinnacle" of evolution, so now they can begin to die.Optimystic_X wrote...

No, there are still challenges - just different ones. And we can face them together instead of one side being ridiculously advanced while the other is left behind in the dust.
Listen to EDI's voiceover narrative - we are still growing and changing. Therefore we can't possibly "have everything" yet.

That's another thing he was wrong about. Mordin even say's that they made mistakes with Krogan. Salarian scientist aren't that smart. Asari, "uplifted" by Protheans. Was not disastrous.

The Protheans didn't treat the Asari like the Slarians did the Krogan

Ok, wait for it: The Salarians were wrong for uplifting the Krogans, but Shepard is right for uplifting every species in the galaxy, whether they are evolved enough to have a culture or not.Enhanced wrote...

Maybe you are right. Based on how Javik describes the Protheans, it was probably worse.

Not wrong for doing it, but wrong because they weren 't ready for it.

Moderation is key!
Uplift slowly. Gently. Give them a sensual amount of time to truly enjoy it, embrace it. ... not attach rocket boots to their feet and watch em fly off into the sunset with shotguns blazing like those damned lizards did with the krogan.

Protheans just had much better scientists. They knew what they were doing. The Reapers couldn't have been defeated without them.

This faulty reasoning is behind the Catalyst and the Reapers.
Flawed and Faulty. Geth and Quarians get along just fine.
Tis time to leave the Catalyst lies behind us,
and craft our own future, without Reapers and most definately without Synthesis.

This is pure arrogance again. I can understand that people do not want to admit that they are flawed, but I never thought there would be that heavy resistance against letting yourself be improved. Neo-luddism at its best.

Here's the deal. The Protheans guided the Asari in there development, toyed with their genetics, protected them from other hostiles species, and gave them some basic tools like arithmetics to help them develop a bit faster. Protheans gave the Asari some understanding of basic physics and agriculture they didn't interfere by giving them them advanced tech. The bit about using the Asari to fight the Reapers is something Javik said to make Liara feel better after Thesia, take with a grain of salt.Enhanced wrote...

The Salarians threw some advanced weapons and ship at the Krogan so they could fight the Rachni. This doesn't make them bad scientists, it means their political and military leadership was deperate.
