Ah don't underestimate silver or overestimate silver players. Defending the LZ usually involes tons of medigel and opspacks.
Silver can get pretty hairy. Especially if you're playing to grind a challenge out and you're thinking it's a milk run because lolsilver.

I totally dig it with people you know, especially when you're going head-to-head for high scores. The inevitble Dragoon rush on Platinum is very much a Joker-In-The-Dark-Knight-"Here-We-Go" moment. But with a bunch of randoms holding their guns backwards ...
... blech.

I understand that credits are awarded to the team (everyone gets the same amount of credits). So, to be clear: 10% bonus to credits no matter if partial, full, or Lone Wolf? Could be a good chunk if a platinum match. Worth at least one missile!cato_84 wrote...
... You get the 10% bonus credits if you extract, it doesn't matter if anyone else extracts or not. You do get extra XP for full extraction though

From the notes for patch 4 - 'Successfully extracting from a match gives 10% bonus credits. This
reward does not depend on your squad members – you must extract personally
to get the reward.'

Unwise, if it is a good team (I mean if there's sinergy they may be good for another match), plus some very good players tend to take extraction waves personal and if they die they won't play another game and ragequit afterwards.acicm2 wrote...
Iam the same way, once we get the money for wave 10 I don't care about my teammates anymore.

Only LZ I may try to hold occasionally is Giant's, but that one is easy as hell, and can be managed even on plat.

If they are all useless, i leave them for the bugs and killer robots but the real funny thing is that many times, the useless ones suddenly remember where the medigel and rocket button is

The guy says "GET TO THE EXTRACTION ZONE" and everyone listens to him, then they die. In all the games I've played the announcer never gets hurt so it's easy for him to say. He's a sadistic one for certain.
Haha so true. It think it is a clandestine rerun of Stanley Milgram's experiment. How many times must a PUG get killed camping the LZ before he learns to disobey the VOICE OF AUTHORITY.

I blame the damn announcer. When I get back to base I'm going to have a word with him. He's always yelling in my ear piece to get to the extraction zone! Telling me how little time I have left on any objective. He's very bad for morale.
Re the extraction wave, why do I not have a clock at times for that? does it have to do with joining in progress or having a host leave or something?
It's probably both. Host leaves, newcomer enters a game in progress and will not have a clock.

That said I do my best to stay alive for extraction. No one jumps into a fire just to be part of the crowd right?

Had this happen a couple times last night. Just had to guess by the announcer how much time I had left. Very annoying.
I'm seeing more and more of this LZ camping, and even in silver games it tends to get you killed. Had a gold game last night on reapers/hydra with a volus who scored sub 25k, I don't know how it's even possible to score sub 25k in a gold match. I'm not really sure how we managed to extract on that one, but we did.

General PUG team as they (anything from 1-3) run towards the LZ. I'll warn them not to. Some times you get two do anyway and the other usually the smarter one (next best score) will stick with me. Then when the other two are both down he feels guilty and goes to revive them. And usually goes down as well, if he was good then I feel guilty if I don't go and rescue him. Depending on how much Gel & Cobras I have left, I might come in like a Feckin' Hero to save the day.
Or die trying.
If I'm out of Gel they're on their own.
