So, like... ok... my brothers both hate me, and my younger one sets me up to look like I killed my older brother... and now I'm scum for this... then I get a chance to come back to Orzammar as a grey warden... WHY is it even an option to support Bhelen after what he did? After I bring back the crown from the deepest depths of the deep roads... why can I not crown MYSELF king (after all, the paragons said I could choose who the next king is... RIGHT?)... yeah... please let me crown myself if I'm dwarf noble!

Hehe, I wondered that myself. Heck, even Harrowmont said he knew the middle sibling was framed by Bhelen, you'd have thought that his word+Carridin's crown+all the other "favors" you had done the city would have been more than enough to get you un-exiled and throne-worthy.

Well maybe your loyalty to House Aeducan trumps the fact your brother in scum in the opinion of the player?
Anyway if you name Harrowmount as King he will name you his successor so you get to be King or Queen that way if you are a Dwarf Noble.

I suppose it would work if you decided to play the character as cold and scheming ( or more so!) than your siblings. ANYTHING to win as it were.
That said, I always have trouble doing it and revert to a save where i can support Harrowmont. Even knowing some good comes in the long run with a Bhelen rule...still it grates on my nerves to see that crown on his bloody noggin. My first character was a sexy little rogue scrapper from the dwarf noble origin and I have a hard time siding with Bhelen for more than 3 minutes at a time, likely because of my beginnings.
The dwarf noble origin was very well done! It really drew me into the game, even though my first attempt was as awkward and clumsy as Alistair is at love lol There are some people who CAN coldly detach themselves from situations and make all calls solely based on strategy or tactically. I never know whether to respect or fear them, but they exist

You've been exiled, cast out. You are no longer eligible.

Plus let's not forget the whole fact that your a Grey Warden, and thus you give up your former life and/or an titles you might have been in line for.....unless your Alistair, or a human noble =P

See, doesn't hold water, does it? And it doesn't matter that they exiled you - they keep saying that Paragon trumps everything else. And if Harrowmont can name you heir - then you should be able to name yourself heir at that point. But you go on to fight the darkspawn anyway (you are a dwarf after all, and a grey warden), leaving Harrowmont to rule as regent in your place until the blight is defeated.

And in the end you CAN become a paragon.. so you could become a paragorn even though you "are not considered a dwarf" anymore or something.. but not just a lousy king? (Seems a wierd system anyway, can a king be overruled by a paragorn? Is a paragorn even subject to regular dwarven laws?)

Tbh, that was an option i was firmly planning on taking on my dwarf noble playthrough - be "graceful" in defeat, and save the houses power. Petty revenge was for my human noble reaver/zerker
