No don’t use them unless it’s a complicated game.
Will you get the game guide book?

No, no need. For one I like to find stuff out myself in the game, and its not like the games thatvget them nowadays is complicated enough to require a guide. Also, if one would really need help, its cheaper, easier and more accurate toblook online.

Why waste money on a guide book, when I can just look up what I'm looking for?

No.

Haven't gotten one since pokemon red/blue. It seems unlikely.

No, I never get the guides. Where's the fun in that?

Most likely. Then I can pitch it into Husband's lap every time he yells for advice on a build.

Strategy guides were most useful when internet was absent. Nowadays there's little reason to purchase one with the internet being prevalent as it is.

Remember this? When Bioware made great games?
I miss those times. Anyway, now we have the internet. Guides all over the place!

I just use the wiki. Not only is it free, the information is better organized, quicker to look up, and usually more accurate/detailed. Now if there's a lore book or art book, then I'll still throw down the $$$.

Nah. Guidebooks are overpriced. I used to buy them in the days before the Internet. Online walkthroughs are good enough for me.

I usually buy 2 of the collector's edition guides(especially if it's a Piggyback Books). Keep one sealed the other one gets beat up. My games never feel complete without their partnered tome.

No, but I was tempted to buy DA2's hardcover one that looks like Cassandra's book. It looked mighty spiffy.

Well I bought the guides for DA2 and ME3 and I was really glad. NOT because of the ...um... 'guide part'
(I haven't so much as skimmed over large parts of both books because I just don't care about what they're suggesting as build or about the maps and where the treasure is hidden and I really don't want/need to know how to get the best results etc. that's all stuff I want to figure out on my own. And let's face it: you didnn't need a guide/walkthrough/whatever for either DA2 or ME3 and you probably won't be needing one for DA3 either)
but because both arrived one or two days before the game aka when my impatience has reached it's height and I desperately want some more info. And since both guides had some non-spoilery stuff and lovely art I had something to do instead of going crazy while waiting...
Plus it's just kind of nice to know you have it. Especially the hardcover one. It just looks...nice. Even if it's basically just a giant waste of money.
So yes I'll probably be buying the guide book for DA:I as well (unless it's published after the game or too expensive or something like that)

Well, I was going to ask if you're getting the Hardcover or the Softcover, Anyways. I always get the softcover since it's less expensive and I also let them get beat up too.

I never get guides. Explore on my own, have a different kind of collection(a nerdy one), rather get books of concept art.
