Hey folks,

So it's been over a year now since we started this whole thing.  Thought it might be fun to go back and have a look at some of people's favorite memories from MP.  Share stories of great players you've met, amazing plays that made you shout from your desk or your couch, memorable forum moments, or just whatever.  I'll share a few of mine.

-Close to the end of production, we all had our own N7 USB keys, each with an account on it setup just for MP.  For weeks even when we weren't crunching, come Friday night, there would be a group of people in our dedicated MP room playing rounds until late into the night.

-Hearing Corey Gaspur talk about the fan enthusiasm and the first teams beating Platinum infront of an audience when he came back from ComiCon

-Playing in the Reckoning live stream, watching the chat scroll, a mix of getting Bjorn Taylor to say Mass Effect and Star Wars lines, excitement about the new characters, and teasing Eric Fagnan for not reload cancelling.

-The day BroJo, Derek, myself, and a few others made a dedicated effort to ensure every single forum post on the front page had a BioWare tag.

-Sitting in the MP room with the team, discussing the fact that the Volus didn't appear in the powers screen, because he was too short to show up in frame and what to do about it, before someone came up with the suggestion that maybe he could just stand on a crate...

-The Fury.

-Setting up play with fans nights randomly on a whim, just to play with various community members and get to hear from you all (and let you show me up on the score boards) for a bit.

You guys are an amazing community, that doesn't look to be showing any signs of slowing down.  I'm still getting in weekly games and it looks like a lot of other people are playing regularly too.  You guys are really what makes ME3's MP great, and we love having you, so share some stories!

 A couple of my favourites:
  • Gaming with developer events. I've attended a few, and during each of them I encountered friendly and laidback people to hang out and play a game with. There are a lot of moments during those gaming with developer events that stick with me.
  • Getting a XBL message during a game with dev event saying "I love you" as one of the first things of setting up my dev account, me subsequently responding to that message in kind, and all of that showing up on Reddit. Very surreal and memorable.
  • Playing with random people in levels I helped create and quite a few of those players offering me pro-tips on how to play those levels successfully. Also seeing people having fun in the levels I helped make.
  • Discovering that some players had created their own metagame inside Goddess which consisted of mantling on the large desk in the central room and then seeing who could stay on that desk without getting downed or falling off the longest.
  • The communication with people playing the game. It has always been useful and insightful to get feedback from people in the community, whether it was in person at PAX East recently, through forum posts or PMs here on BSN, or while playing the game. There has been a lot of disagreement, but almost always has that disagreement been communicated with thought out reasoning and arguments instead of the abrasive language you come to expect on the internet at large.
  • My very unwise challenging of the community when Platinum was just around the corner and subsequently eating hat cupcakes to repent. I occasionally visit the thread I made for it and it still makes me smile.
  • Patrick Weekes' discovery of the crates blocking off the small central room in Glacier, mere days after he discovered and figured out the strategy of whipping/AoE'ing enemies through the wall there.
Honestly there are far more moments that have stuck with me since this all kicked off. Thank you for all the great experiences. :)

Jos, you know that Patrick as chosen as the "good guy" in the SP drama? Was locking the Room Of Shame a message of sorts? :D

Locking off that room was a gameplay change to try and improve the level. That I ended up griefing Patrick with it was a coincidence. ^_^

What is this thread? Sounds like fun.

Also, on topic, when I finally unlocked the GI just a couple of months ago, and hearing that there would be a Geth Juggernaut. Words cannot describe my excitement.

Can't help but notice certain sense of finality flowing through the threads like this. I refuse to accept that this gloomy outlook even if i'm just deluding meself. In my eyes ME3 MP is far from being done for. PUG PC is active as it was about three months ago when I just started MP (yep, i'm one of those reluctant-at-first-converted-immediately SP players who came to MP for the GR). Anyways, I digress... Favourite moments so far:

I certainly didn't mean to imply that.  Our community is still going strong, and we're still playing around the office.  Just figured that since DLC at least is done it was a good time to reflect.

You guys all have some amazing memories, it's been a pretty awesome ride so far, and looking forward to continuing to see new challenges come out of the community, new interesting builds, and lots of cool gameplay videos.
