The initial free DLC added a handful of side quests but the Enhanced Edition was substantial with it's inclusion of (much needed) major quests for Act 3 and other content.

And came out with the Xbox version of the game, hence allowing those sales to cover the costs.

Still, I tend to be careful not to idolize them as I've seen many people do on the Internet.
You're right, CDPR's customer policy has been very... agreeable, for lack of a better word, but it takes nothing for people to go all "zomg wat they ruined my dream, i'll never touch another of their products! this is unacceptable!" for just the tiniest little thing that didn't go as they expected. The nerve they had to just behave like a corporation and destroy my mental image of them!

Yep, the more people build them up the greater the sense of betrayal felt when they do something the players don't like. Its happened with Bioware and other companies as well.

Just saying- The Witcher 2 is only an erotic adventure if you want it to be(even then, it really isn't).

People blow that stuff way out of proportion.

I am less than impressed with their marketing for this new game. It's sexist (Robo girl in a submissive pose, bloodied and wearing a slip is the only female they have revealed..) and offensive. And I am bored to death of the Cyberpunk setting being milked EVERYWHERE!

No DRM. Great.

Maybe CDPR is the RPG Messiah. I haven't been converted yet. And I've known them before "The Witcher RULZ!" was a thing.B)

Being milked? If anything, cyberpunk is underrepresented in games. Only a handful of titles standout, Deus Ex being the best. CDPR made the right choice in reviving a genre that is, well, already resurging. And it's not sexist, it's cyberpunk. Dust off those old books and comics from the 80's and look at the aesthetic. It was sexy, tragic and very grim. Not for everyone, but that really is cyberpunk. The teaser captured it perfectly.

I don't have an objection to the fact that Geralt can bang his way through the game, only that I am forced to play as him. To me, it just feels like a wish-fulfillment game created by guys, for guys, and I can't get past that. *shrug*

I do have female friends that play and love TW and TW2, but they adore Geralt, whereas I can't stand him. I think it just boils down to personal preference.

A photoshoot........ With silly costumes. Yeah, pointless. But hardly as awful as that trailer with robo chick spreading her legs.

So Cyberpunk was and is sexist, full of stereotypes, wish fulfillment for white gamer dudes and so forth? Yeah, no. I actually remember the 80ties.

Is this sarcasm? I hope it is. They made it clear that it wont have multiplayer two days ago.

Whle I agree, that's not part of the game.

I really can't agree with all of the CDPR love.  Entirely aside from how I feel about the games, as people they appear to be full of themselves.  They pander by saying obvious things that games will like.  Every single quote I've ever seen from them I can't help but read in that smug over-the-top German accent from Beerfest (I realize that they're Polish, but like I said, I just can't help it)

Seriously? This is like the Bioshock Infinite cover art story. Is this really something worth feeling offended over? The more and more I listen to what people get offended over in regards to video games on these forums, the harder it becomes to take others feelings seriously.

Well, the creator of CP 2020 is a black dude...

So you won't be playing it, even though you can play a badass female assassin, a genius techie or corporate power-hungry douchebag? I dunno, sounds awfully fun to me.

Sure they don't care about DRM.

They make their games good enough that even hardened pirates would willingly pay for them.

Meh. It's hard to get excited about their policies when I don't like their games.

I have no interest in a company that is not inclusive of choice in roleplay. When I have to play a completely established character right down to appearance and gender, then it ceases to be an RPG to me. As far as I'm concerned, The Witcher series of games is an (erotic) adventure tale featuring Geralt and his journey, and I have zero interest in that.

If CDPR ever gets around to making an RPG with character choice and customization then I may give them another try. Until that day, no thanks.

You're confusing "Role Playing" (which is about stats and character building) with LARPing as your personal self-insert.
