 I just wanted to find out where you started the ME trilogy and other questions.

Was it ME1, 2 or 3? What ending you picked first? Did you like how ME ended? What you enjoyed the most (i.e gunplay, story, romance, exploration etc). You can pick a broad category or be specific. And finally, your favorite character in entire series?

Originally Synthesis, now favor Control.
Liked ending: Not initially, but it's grown on me.
What I enjoyed: Shooting stuff. Yelling at people. Becoming a biotic in the third game for no explained reason, then biotic explosions everywhere. The music.

What i Enjoyed : Everything, together. Combat needed story; story needed this combat style. Loved the choices, most of the consequences. Love the characters. I also really enjoyed SPACE! Clean, beautiful, futuristic space. It was a nice change of pace for me.
Fav character: Our T'soni Hope (unless a female P-gon Shepard counts)

Started- Mass Effect 1 November 20th, 2007

Ending Picked- Haha, now this is actually kinda funny and worthy of a derp. First playthrough I beat the game that Thursday of release week, I picked synthesis at 4:30 in the morning. Felt really confused and sad. Got on BSN and read about IT- Now I pick destroy. Always.

Liked the Ending- I like IT as an ending. I do not like what is the official ending. so.... No. I do not like the ending. It's, shall we say, lacking in many areas.

What I enjoyed: So much and so many things. I've said before ME2 is my favorite game of all time and IMO the greatest game of this generation. So yeah..... I'm kinda a fan. But I loved all the recruiting and loyality missions of ME2 especially Thanes, Grunt, Garrus, Tali and Jack. The suicide mission is my favorite mission of the game. But battle of the citadel in ME1 is right up there to, and plus the ending song credits of ME1!!! can you say epic. Wow. For ME3 I liked the MP- although I would have liked a competitive aspect for it, Citadel DLC was fantastic, Leviathan was really great, Rannoch made me cry, The combat was great. So yeah, I love the series.

Fav character: Garrus. Easy. But battling for second is Miri, Tali and TIM. with Saren as an Honorable Mention.

What I enjoyed : Scale. Dialogue choices. Character's personalities; interactions with each other. SPAAAAAACE

Fav character: At first - Wrex. Then moved over to accept Liara T'soni - Im seriously incapable of picking just one.

Liked trilogy ending? : No, felt like a pity victory, Shepard was defeated, saved by the enemy and allowed to 'win', no sense of accomplishment.
What I Enjoyed : Being given a ship to captain and let loose in this new galaxy.  Walking on the Normandy for the first time, seeing the Citadel for the first time, exploring this new galaxy, becoming a Spectre.  The Party.
Favorite Character: Liara T'Soni and Garrus in a tie, right and left hand since ME1.

Started: ME1 on Xbox, (2008)

Ending picked: Destroy, I couldn't do any of the others, because my mission from Virmire until the end of ME3 was killing the reapers.

Liked trilogy ending?: No, it was a very empty ending. Nothing felt like an accomplishment, and until I saw the Extended Cut, I thought Joker was a two timing traitor.

What I enjoyed: The romances, and the actual reality that I really cared about characters in a video game. The fact too that it was a true sci-fi, able to stand with the best of them.

Favorite Character: Miranda, and of course Shepard.

Liked trilogy ending  I would like it more if femshep got better closure to her story.
What I enjoyed After 2 games femshep finally got someone to romance. Being able to do a lot of playthroughs.

What I Enjoyed: Character interaction in ME1, Garrus romance and the suicide mission in ME2, Garrus romance, Tuchanka, and Rannoch arcs in ME3. Also Citadel DLC.

I started with ME1. I bought the game as a buy 1 get 2 free used games deal in December 2008 as a used game. I didn't play it for the first time until Spring 2009. I played until Feros until I quit playing for whatever reason. I picked the game up again over the Summer and finished that playthrough. I played several other runs shortly thereafter, perfecting my Shepard and getting him max credits, weapons, etc. I am rather negative about all the characters though. Kaidan and Garrus are ok, if meh (I really don't understand all the love Garrus gets), Wrex was decent, but Tali, Liara, and Ashley are just.... terrible. I really do not like any of them.

I hated and still hate the ending, but I guess the best I can live with is High EMS Destroy and a lot of headcanon. I'm writing a fanfiction that, among other things, changes the ending for me.

I loved the exploration and story of ME1, but ME2 is what truly made me fall in love with the series. The story was weaker than ME1's, but it introduced some of the greatest characters (in my opinion) in any media. It too had great exploration as well. ME2 is my favorite video game of all time. ME3 was inferior in the ways that I really care about. The only improvement I'd say was in the gameplay department. I prefer ME2's gameplay, though I acknowlegde ME3 as better in that department. Citadel was the best DLC of the series in my opinion and did a lot to fix some my issues, like with ME2 character interactions and involvement (though I'm annoyed that not one character from ME2 appeared in the story portion of the DLC).

My favorite character (my own Shepard aside) is Miranda Lawson. I also really like TIM, Mordin, Legion, Samara, Thane, and Saren. Harbinger and Sovereign were two pretty cool (if rather shallow) antagonists.

For me, ME is about Shepard and his squadmates, the characters. The universe and the exploration and the narrative that they were put in made me incredibly invested and in love with the Series. ME3's flaws, the direction the writers took, and the... pretentiousness and near constant stream of foolish decisions that I perceive from BW has made me part ways with the series and BW. I will always have the trilogy and Shepard, and as far as I care, that's what Mass Effect is about.

Ending picked: That depends which of my six Shepards I'm playing.
Liked the various endings.
What I enjoyed: Everything.
My favorite character: They all had their moments except Jacob. It seemed like they didn't know what to do with his character.

Ending picked: Well, the first was synthesis, but different Shepards get different endings.
Liked the trilogy ending?: I'll admit, it was underwhelming... since I felt nothing... then again, I didn't care much about the plot thing...
What I enjoyed: The characters from ME2 and 3 (and ME1 Ashley gets a mention for being the only character I wanted to talk to. Kaidan was cool, as well), the little things that happened in the background, the guns, the powers...
Favorite character: Oh, wow... I actually liked majority of the characters from ME2 and 3... Kind of hard to choose from...

Started: Started on Xbox360 ME2 and moved to PC after first ME2 run them played all 3 on PC.

Ending picked: Tried all 3 endings but only liked Destroy

Ending liked?: Not initially but liked it after EC.

What I enjoyed: All the characters (specially Shepard, Garrus and Tali), most missions, Tali romance, the music and the  sci-fi atmosphere.

Favorite characters: Tali, Garrus, Shepard, EDI, Mordin (mostly in that order 1-5) but liked everyone else.
