Started at: ME1, rented all 3 games (never bought any ME game) well worth it.
Ending picked: Destroy
Liked trilogy ending?: Not really, didn't fit the bill. Needed something MUCH more epic.
What I enjoyed: Learning about the galaxy in ME1, ME2's balance and ME3 overall.
Fav character: Hard one, either Garrus, Joker, Liara, Anderson or Legion. Too hard to pick.

No it doesn't.

You really have a seriously hard time whenever anyone states anything that runs contrary to your views about the endings. You stated that the ending was "amazing." No one questioned your right to see them that way. You inturn are just too happy to randomly jump on anyone who feels they were sub par and nonsensical.

Bioware employee or not, is it really that hard to agree to disagree instead of trying to tell people that see things differently than you, they are wrong?

Well to be fair the "violates every rule..." comment is an absolute that is easily argued against. Saying that the ending was poor writing is an opinion that most agree with.

Started at Mass Effect 1, back in the day, boytoy's xbox.
Favorite ending: Control.
Liked the ending? Yeah, Like's a decent word for it.
What I enjoyed: Characters! Story! Choices! Playing a scifi story where I didn't hate the protagonist on general principle! Action! The Normandy! Most of it, honestly.
Favorite Character: Hmm. Today, I'm gunna say Samara.

Ending picked : Control. destroy is stupid because it kills EDI and the geth, meaning Legion died for nothing. Also your children would create new synthetics/the peace wouldn't last.
Liked trilogy ending? : Extended cut is solid IMO
What i Enjoyed : Almost everything, the suicide mission, and it's music probably being the best
Fav character: Wrex and Liara.. sorry i couldn't choose one.

Started at: I rented ME 2 on PS3, then got it again free for PC bundled with DA2. Loved the small part I played, but wanted the whole experience so I went and bought ME1 (also ended up buying a new graphics card to make it run smoothly) and then imported that into ME2.

Ending picked : To my eternal shame I picked Synthesis on my 1st playthrough (shudder). In my defense I was very, very tired. I would now describe destroy as my "true" canon ending. If I had the stomach to play the game that is.

Liked trilogy ending? : No. Not unless there is more to it than there appears to be. Something like IT, or the revelation that the Crucible is in fact a Reaper trap. Otherwise the story is a complete mess and the Reapers are simply too incompetent to be respectable villains.

What i Enjoyed : the references to classic sci-fi shows. At its best, ME feels like Babylon 5, Battlestar, Farscape and Star Trek distilled into one one glorious piece of pure, concentrated geekery. The Suicide run in ME2 (including the Reapinator, I thought it was fun and amusingly OTT). Tuchunka and Rannoch in ME3.

Fav character: Mordin and Thane tie for first, with Legion a close second, although I like almost all of the characters.

Liked trilogy ending? : Concept and outcome: yes. Execution and story integration: no
What i Enjoyed : The open world in ME1, the characters, most loyalty missions and the Cerberus arc in ME2, the combat, the Rannoch arc, Leviathan and the gameplay/story integration in ME3.
Fav character: Miranda (ME2 only).

Liked trilogy ending? : Not vanilla. EC was acceptable, but still has severe thematic issues.
What i Enjoyed : Character development across the series, cinematic feel, immersion. The fact everyone's playthrough is unique.
Fav character:  Javik. He made an excellent foil for my Sheps, especially since they were mainly Paragon. Plus he's funny as hell.

Starting line: ME1, beginning of 2012.

Finale picked: I disregard the 'official' ones as something that should not have made it off the cutting room floor, choose MEHEM instead. In that regard, kudos to BW for providing raw material for that with EC.

Opinion of finale: See above.

Favourite elements: Diverse world that would offer itself well to a more sandbox-style game, which I hope we'll see some time in the future.

Favourite cast: ME1's Miss Williams as well as Urdnot Wrex, Mr Massani, Javik and Mr Balak (seriously, next ME needs one brotarian squad-member, minimum).

Ending picked : synthesis at first because I was utterly flabbergasted after starbrat and ran straight toward the biggest light there was, I reloaded after that and picked destroy, then I did a second run with MEHEM but after having played the witcher 2 and bioshock I found the quality of the game so bad I quit entirely

Liked trilogy ending? : No

What i Enjoyed : Story and character development in ME1, Suicide run in ME2, meeting Legion
What I Didn't enjoy: Lack of choice in ME2 and 3, DLC, erosion on the storytelling department in ME2 and 3
Fav character: Legion, Wrex and Grunt

Started at: ME1, two days after ME3 release.

Ending picked: Canon? Paragon Control. Better than half of my Shepards have chosen Destroy for their own reasons.

Liked Trilogy ending: You betcha

What I enjoyed: Story, Characters, exploring the codex

What I didn't like: ME2 combat system. I still prefer the ME1 system of separate cooldowns for each power. That being said, ME3 system was the best.

Favorite character: #1) Mordin Solus, #2) Mordin, #3) Dr. Solus (Seriously, more than one of my Shepards was "let down gently" by the good Doctor in ME2:innocent:). Honorable Mention: Ashley Williams (she still dies on Virmire in most of my playthroughs though.  Kaidan is just way more useful.)

Ending picked : Destroy, also Control a little later
Liked trilogy ending? : Not even a tiny bit, although I liked other things in the third game
What I Enjoyed : Customizing the main character in a character-driven series, Wrex, the idea of upgrading your ship, the way the suicide mission plays out with all the permutations, customizing armor leads both to different appearance and different in-game effects
What I did not enjoy : That Reapers are built up as invulnerable, then diminished again so they can be defeated. One of those things should not have happened. (Criminy, the Geth could have been the real villains in the first game, if necessary.)
Fav character : Legion, they are pretty well the best interpretation of a legitimately alien intelligence in the game.

Started at: ME 1 right after release, it was the best game I had ever played back then (and that was before ME2)

Ending picked : Destroy (in ME1 sacrificed the council to ensure victory and that's still my canon)

Liked trilogy ending? : I'm still in denial it ever happened :)

What i Enjoyed : how cinematic it is, roleplaying (actual ROLEPLAYING, not level of customization), the awesome music, the well-written characters

Fav character: Garrus Fcking Vakarian!

Ending Picked: Control; no need for any more sacrifices

Liked Ending? Well, the OE was absolutely abhorrent, though I'm content with the EC.

What I enjoyed: Import System (flawed it may be), the Characters, ME3's Combat, ME3's story (Tuchanka and Rannoch, 1/2 of the game, blow everything else out of the water), ME2's dialogue, ME's varied mission progression.

Favorite Character: Javik/Jack
