I'm not taking the time to search if this has been answered anywhere already, but...
Every time I choose a second class specialization for one of the companions, it automatically "resets" to them only retaining their single, original specialization. The skills from the second, however, seem to remain. However, next time I level up, I have choose the specialization again.
Is this normal?
Am I missing something?
Is this a bug?
Do I just suck?
Companion Specializations Reset?

Well no its not normal...
You don't seem to missing anything...
I remember a specialization glitch that was supposedly fixed by the 1.04 update. But I think it was triggered when you didn't use up your attributes, your skill tree was max'd and then you used auto-level up. My memory is a little vague though.
LOL You don't suck!
(well unless you really want too!)

Thanks!
I'll keep playing around and see if I can get it to stick. I was mostly worried that there was some in-game explanation I wasn't picking up on, but it seems that's not the case!
If nothing else, it's a "functional" glitch so I can live with it.

I don't know if you'll see this, but...

No mods.
I have been selecting the specialization point and then auto-leveling. I think that may be the problem.

That's likely the problem - you may have found a new bug. I think very few people actually use auto-leveling. I wouldn't trust an algorithm to make game decisions for me.

I tend to autolevel companions because--ironically for an RPG lover--I hate making decisions. XD
Will keep this all in mind tho. I already regret some of the directions the computer has taken...

If this is your first time playing, know that the AI levels companions incredibly poorly.

I'm curious though: could you let us know if the problem disappears if you don't auto-level?
