Interesting vid! I have probably re-spec'd the Cabal more than 10 times before settling down to a weapons build. I skip PS as I usually play off-host. As usual, great commentary and editing.

Awesome vid. Very interesting to see others' interpretations of the Cabal.

I think I might have to try adding melee to my build. It would only cost me 400ish shields, and I think most of my survivability comes from the Cyclonic and Biotic Focus anyway. I already melee a fair bit as a stagger and reload cancel...

I'm gonna try your exact build out on Gold next time I have friends on that are playing.  I'm still trying to get used to playing the Slayer as well.  I think we have him speccd the same way but I'm not exactly sure.  You just wreck with him and I...just get wrecked with him.  Teachmetoslayerandcabal 

Edit: Also, do you ever use her off host? Because i seem to have a lot of problems off host with the Cabal

Yea, my main thing is I end up getting shield gated before I use Biotic Focus for the shield boost.  I've never been huge on Melee builds until recently so I have to get used to timing everything right (and not always meleeing phantoms ).  I'm just not as good of  a player as some other people, so it takes me some time to actually get accustomed to the playstyle.  The video really helps though .    I've always been more of a "learn by doing" type person, but learning by watching is a close second.

I have less off-host issues with her than I do with other Vanguards... but it's not THAT much better. It depends on the host... when I run with a good host here in the US, it's relatively fine. Yesterday I ran her off host while Biggs was hosting and man could I feel it...

I would recommend more melee/weapons and less Poison Strike if off host.

I'd be more than happy to teach you to Slayer/Cabal. You on now?

I rely too much on Poison strike in the build I normally run.  And yup I'm on now, if my xbox ever unfreezes...

Too bad I can't give him some.  I have 248 Shotgun IIIs and 255 Incendiary IVs .  In my quest for Reset cards, I have also managed to amass quite a haul of consumables.  :happy:

But I have to say, doesn't it get boring to keep using the Acolyte for every power/caster class?

It's really more of a Vanguard thing to be honest. I don't use it on a single Adept/Engineer/Sentinel... and I only use it on the Novaguard, Slayer, and Cabal. A lot of the rest get the Talon for the same reason, natural bonuses vs shields, get for priming ammo combos.

Krogan/Batarian get shotguns.

You can use any weapon you want on her... Turian Passive says so

It really comes down to wanting a melee mod and one of the power mods on a gun.... but I can't put those on the Talon AND AP ammo, AND Incendiary Ammo, etc. So I use Incendiary ammo Acolyte for FE's, and an anti-armor SMG for bosses. You've got to cover all your bases (shields, armor, bosses, mooks, stagger) and that particular weapon setup allows me to do that.

How would you deal with a Phantom as an Adept or any kit that doesn't have Overload? I'm looking at the Ex-Cerberus adept since I'd like to take him to Gold.

I used your N7 Slayer build on Gold with an Acolyte and it works like clockwork (even off host) but I don't really like the Acolyte. I use it because it gets the job done, otherwise it's not much fun to use. 

Ex-Cerberus Adept? Two ways... Singularity her if she is far away, then start shooting. If she is close... like really close... Lash her ass to the floor, then Smash her.

Your teleport videos make my head spin. Really good stuff there... fantastic showcasing of her mobility. Best one I've seen actually... by far.

You can melee Phantoms all you want with the Cabal. Her light melee is basically a sync kill to them... they just keep getting chain staggered and never get a chance to counter attack... spam biotic focus, run up in her face and slash that ho to ribbons!

Double Dash, but I don't really take advantage of it that much, unless it's to take the opportunity for free Biotic Focus. I just want the max rank for fire explosions.

I'm not really a fan of "spamming" NB anymore. Gets kinda boring. But I still take them to 4 in capacity because I find them helpful for stopping rubberbanding, so I end up using a lot of them anyway.

Usual weapons are Hurr-Durrcane or Wraith for U/U, Talon for Cerberus/Geth

Vid in my sig is a pretty good example of what happens when you make the mistake of using PS off host, but imo that game is a bit dodgy because I play just as bad when I get host later in the game. I'm thinking of actually doing a better one, but then I'd have to stop doing solo speedruns. I guess you'll be pleased to hear that I want to rep the Slayer though. Dunno if I can beat xcal's time, but I at least want to get close to OnlyUseMeCyclonicIV's time.

Sure, though I must admit to knowing little about Spearfishing. Should be interesting to learn about though.
