Ok  so i just finished reading  dragon age the stolen throne book and i
kinda wanted to make  some sort of machinema out of it by using the
DAtoolset  would anyone that knows how to use the tool set properly can
give me a step by step tutorial on how to make cutscenes? i know there
are some tutorials out there like on the dragon age wiki and  some on
youtube but non of them are complete they just show/ say a couple of
things and the rest is  play the guessing game and pray to god  what u
will do will work out , i think this project would be pretty good i
personally loved the book  and i wanna see it come to life. At the
same time i was thinking of doing  evrything from scratch within 3ds max
such as make my own characters  areas and what not, that i know how to
do but at  the same time i was thinking by one person doing this alone
it will take me maybe a year to accomplish all that stuff by my self so i
thought  the tool set would be the easier and faster option... so
please any sugesstions would be appreciate it and also if anyone is
willing to do voice acting that would be awesome, i know that i may be
asking for too much but.... idk i guess im willing to give it a shot at
this project seems worth it to me

If you'd like to learn how to create cutscenes using the Dragon Age toolset I lead a group that contains useful links, info and relevant discussions. In addition I'm usually available to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to join :)

ty DahliaLynn for your reply i really admire ur work u are really talented and i hope i will come somewhat close to what u did i will check ur grp out ive began to create Maric in 3d max and i will create a younger looking Logahn to kinda make them look like on the cover of the book and also make Rowen and Kathriel and with ur tutorials hopefully i can get them within the tool set and and make some sort of a mini movie because if i were to make EVERYTHING withing max it would have taken me a while specially the render if u wanna render high quality images with mental ray it would take about 6h per frame because of all the materials such as normal map specular ambient occlusion etc and animations lol so thats why i wanted to learn some what about the tool set cuz its a lil bit faster thanx again and when im done with Maric i will post a pic to get some opinions if he kinda looks like on the cover of the book THANK U

Cool :) Though you might find it much easier using the toolset morph editor (can be quite addicting) which guarantees your design to work with the engine, is quite versatile and I dare not mention what you'll have to go through to rig your model. Not that it hasn't been done, only it may save you a lot of time if you plan to use the cutscene editor.
Just a thought.
