#1 most of the time until I need to hide for a moment to recover then I'm back. Sometimes I might play more cautiously but I never bunker down anywhere.

Usually I let my teammates engage the enemies, then I proceed to flank them and kill them all from behind.
Unless I'm playing a krogan/batarian/Quarian male soldier* character, then I just charge in for lore reasons.
* With him I try to charge Atlases yelling "I'm not taking any chances with cerberus operatives" and proceed to get stomped.

Since unlocking the Ex-Cerberus Adept, Slayer and the Havoc, I like to go charging in and leading the line. It's a lot of fun when there are other category 1 players in the game too.

I like to play aggressive but my often sketchy internet punishes me too much if I do. I tend to watch my team's flanks instead. Usually with a singularity based kit, or with a sniper rifle. However, if a Phantom gets within melee range I will attempt to melee her (regardless of kit). I'd say I think like a Mass Effect Engineer, but I'm a Krogan at heart. (y u no Krogan Engineer biower?)

I used to be a conservative #2 player (Yeah, I said it!) who would bolt into action anytime anyone went down, watch the team's flanks, and concentrate on debuffs and primes, or staggering enemies, basically earning myself a reputation as a team player.
Now, I score-w**re, rush spawns, and when someone goes down, I yell "I'm busy killin' stuff, someone else deal with it!"
I've changed.

It depends on my kit, the map, the enemies and if I am playing seriously or just testing something or using some crap weapons for a challenge. Kishock challenge off host wasn't one of my better ideas. ^^
It also depends on the rest of the team. Power synergy, grenade usage, their playstyle...
I can adapt to almost any situation, except for people who sabotage me or needlessly overwrite my powers (DC spam comes to mind).
In general I play my soldiers and vanguards aggressively, as well as all kits with a shotgun. My 0 Fitness engineers I play more carefully but in the end there are no real safespots anywhere and offense is the best defense in this game. Kill before you get killed.
