This. If I'm a krogan, novaguard, batarian, or destroyer, you bet your (a)ss I'm in there mixing it up. If I'm something squishier, like many infils or drell, I'll play hit & run. Fortunately, I'm highly adaptable so, if circumstances permit, I'll occasionally get up close & personal w/ an infiltrator, or hit'em from afar w/ a soldier.

Mostly 1. But when i play infiltrators i'll normally sneak behind the enemy and pick em off one by one while my team attacks them from the front.

1, then 2, then 1 again. It depends on enemies, team mates and each and every situation. I like playing aggressively, but I know my limits - I am not one of the gaming gods of forum fame, I have to play conservatively quite often - but when the opportunity presents itself to get out there and tear up I will.

But i thought you wanted to missile that pyro.

It was the swarmer. It's always the swarmer. If I can't have a thermal clip pack, then I shall missile all the swarmers. Pyros are innocent bystanders.

Its always Ops packs for me, its so annoying when your shields go to accidentally enter the slow weapon switch to missile animation, and its always when I have hardly any missiles left to waste:?. This year I WILL get a gaming PC and join the master race, I may as well with the new consoles coming out.

Since I play 100% pug, quite a bit of 2. I'll run around aggressively for the first two waves, then slow it down once people start dying every wave. Unless I get lucky enough to get a pug with some really good aggressive players, then I'll match their playstyle to help coordinate.

I play very smart.. due to certain enemy faction.
I usually go on recon first to scout for enemy positions and flank them.

When I started this game I'd prefer to camp and strategically wait for the enemy to come to me.

Now after much experience I much prefer to rush in and try something "downright heroic".

The real fun of this game for me now is seeing what I can get away with and survive. (Notably on my Paladin. I love the omni-shield.)

I play conservatively most of the time.

I don't sit around waiting for the enemy to come to me, but I'm not generally the first guy into the fray.  As a consequence I often find myself acting as medic or clutching waves even though I don't top the scoreboard.

I've tried playing more aggresively, but I just end up dead faster. :crying:

Other:

Support class that provides team with adequate defenses and stability. This means being the team medic but doesn't mean I get bottom of the scoreboard. I still can rack up the kills if necessary. I think my sig explains it well enough =)

I 'm pretty agressive ....
Sometimes leads to facepalm moments though...

The other day I started a second game of PUGS where the host was a pretty good player... we had decent latency, all was well, in the lobby I see him switching to a level 1 ghost. I choose a cabal. Two newbies join, game loads firebase giant hazard.

Everything runs smoothly with me absolutely raping all the spawns whilst the ghost covers my back.

By wave five I run into a spawn with melee teleport, intent on cleaning up, get insta staggered from melee, next thing you know i've bled out.

Invisible phantoms :/ I could see all enemies fine, but not the phantoms. So basically we had 2 newbs, a L1 ghost and a melee cabal that couldn't see the most dangerous melee enemy in the game.

Painful.

Props to the host though, we got payed :)

Depends on the kit. If I'm playing my QFI w/BW, then I stay back, find a spot with a nice field of fire, and kill things as they come to me.

For AR classes (notably Tsol and TGI), I tend to stay at mid range. Kind of up in the fight but not into melee range yet.

I've also begun to l2vanguard (I always sucked at vanguards) with an asari vanguard + pirahna and it's quite fun getting up in peoples' faces and blasting them. I just have to get the hang of using my charge as frequently as possible to recharge my barriers.

Plus, a lift grenade to the face after a power synergy spec'd biotic charge is a beautiful thing.

I've actually been using the weapon synergy evolution at charge rank 5, so for me it's charge > pirahna to the head > charge next enemy > etc.  I may try out the power synergy sometime too.  I'm using a no stasis build (and didn't realize lift grenades benefited from that evolution) so weapon synergy seemed the obvious choice.  The only issues I really have is with sync-kill bosses, especially praetorians and banshees.  Even then, staying mobile generally works.  I'll charge the praetorian right as he starts his buttlazer animation, or the banshee as soon as she starts her warp ball animations, things like that, and it works pretty well.  I'm enjoying it a lot more than I ever expected to.  On top of that, the pirahna is my highest level rare weapons so I should at least use it on something.  Heh.

Yes well that is not to say that weapon synergy isn't good, especially since a biotic charge tends to solve the Piranha's innacuracy at range greater than one foot problem hehe

Stasis is such a good power that I dislike not putting at least 3 points into it. I usually go without the last rank in the Asari passive, but since you're using her like a flying shotgun, I can see how not using stasis would be more effective.

I've definitely noticed the innacuracy issues with the pirahna at any kind of range.  Hehe.  I might try a stasis sniping kind of build with her sometime as well, but I do a lot of sniping with my QFI, so this is kind of a way of trying something different.

I feel like having to share my charge CD with stasis would be kind of strange, but then again I haven't tried it out, so maybe I'm just imagining things?

I used to think people were just being silly with the whole insisting in being the host while playing a vanguard, but with some personal experience, I definitely see their point.  It makes a massive difference.

I play like #1.

This explains my silly amount of Wave 1 drops... I have ruined many "10 waves survived" matches that would have been if not for hugging a Husk and getting ripped up by Cannibal in the first 30 seconds.

(FreekOne never does this though...... )

I play aggressive as ****. You have to be when you got bad puts most of the time and you want things to end quickly. Stuck with even when I started to play with BSN'ers.
