also the tldr of this whole thread:

if you are a casual player you won't ever max your manifest unless you spend real money on packs,

That's bioware's/EA's way of giving us all the finger for not paying them more.

You can spend all the money in the world and still not max your manifest....random is random.  But if you are a "casual" player than why does it matter if you "max" your manifest.

So quickly?

Most people with max manifests have like 1000 hours played.

That's the equivalent of working a part time job (20hrs per week), for an entire year.

You would define that as 'quickly?'

yeah I say that quick for the fact the last time I worked a part time job was maybe 15years ago. I don't even know anyone who can pay all the bills on time with that little hours and money on ave. ( it being just you working)

but back on point.....

that is still a lot of grinding. and for people who can't do Plat and are only starting Gold.
Don't get me wrong I like the game. I just know people who had there manifest maxed within the first few mths. (of course they used real money) but my point is it will take someone like me several more mths to max it out due to the fact that my gear sucks.

I'm not saying it does. I wanted to know how it was done. Even with some who got the game from day one a short time later it was maxed. This is before the DLCs and stuff. But also some that just got the game have done the same thing.
Even as a casual player getting kicked out of a lobby even if I ready up gets old. Even when I host I get a few who kick me.
If on MIC I as wtf? I get the your geat sucks and so does your weapons. This even in silver coz I don't have a weapon or gear they think is good.
I just want to be able to play and not worry about being kicked. Also like to be able to start and finish solo runs. Do the challenges and little things like that.

There was also only 8/9UR's to unlock back then and less Rares to max out. Someone who had a *max* manifest after a few months of playing had an easier time to re-max out their manifest as they saved credts for each new DLC that came out

Now, with 24 Rare weapons-17 Rare weapon mods - 44 Rare Character Kits - 21 Rare Gears, and 21 UR's not to mention the upgrades for each one, the only answer is time, IF you care enough to invest it to completion.

Otherwise just enjoy playing and see what happens:wizard:

I`d consider it quick only if a person finished it within less than 650 hours of game play.
There are very few....
I suppose the trick is Platinum speed run and nothing else.

I know by max you mean everything at rank X but given unlocking ultra rares is all down to chance, a time frame is very hard to predict in any sort of accuracy.

If we leave out URs for the moment and say max everything that isn't UR to level X i.e. Gold/Uncommons/Commons, depending on how good you are and what difficulty you usually play, I'd say a fair figure would be ~500 hours.

The way I originally bought packs was to concentrate on unlocking all of a particular rarity before moving onto the next Common then Uncommon then Rare, this ensures I don't get low level stuff in the more expensive packs and at the same time it means that I had some decent weapons to use when I upped the difficulty.

Unfortunately there are a lot of Rare items and so here you'll need a bit of luck on your side, if you get some good stuff weapon wise, even at level one they should make games go by easier and thus increase your earning over a set period of time.

I too still need to max out a lot of URs but like some Rares, the best ones work great even at level one, you just need to unlock it XD No idea when or even if, i'll max my inventory, getting a bit bored of the game now tbh :/

Yeah, so I'm guessing most of your play time was on Silver. Your Uncommon weapon mods are at max at least, so that's good.

Of the Commons and Uncommons, you can make good use of the Mantis, Incisor, Raptor and Mattock.

If you showed up in a Gold lobby with some of your Rare weapons, I could see you getting kick votes. Your Reegar, Raider, Pirahna and Claymore should be useable though.

You have some useable URs. BWII, Crusader IV, Hurricane III, Harrier II, Typhoon II, Paladin III...

You have an alarming lack of equipment. Lack of equipment is another thing that may get you kick votes. I'm gonna guess you've been buying the 99K packs. Don't do that, your income of consumables is too low that way. Buy Spectre Packs instead. It'll give you more shots at getting Rare Gear and Mods too.

First he has to buy Jumbo Packs I'd say, it doesn't look like he buys those at all : He has only 16 Missiles and 9 Survival Ops Packs (+ the lack of equipement you mentionned), yet he also has 171 Medi-Gels, which either means he is playing on low difficulty settings, or if he ever dies, doesn't use them.

For someone who has 515H of playtime, it's extremely underwhelming, to the point I've never ever seen someone who has such an empty consumable section. (for comparison mine : social.bioware.com/n7hq/home/inventory/

In ~500h (now 740h), I had already maxed all my rare stuff and mods, still missed some URs at the time, but I had consumables : pretty much the same number as in nowadays, except with less or no level IVs and less garbage consumables (like Explosive Rounds or Adrenaline I), and I wasn't even playing on Platinum yet, or not enough in order to really make the difference.

Basically if you're reading me w0lfam0da1s, if you wanna get Rares and still want to play on Silver, stick to Jumbo Packs and Veteran Packs (Rares might come from Veteran Packs as well, though it's less common than from Spectre Packs, at least you can give a shot for every successful Silver game), if you ever want to play on Gold, Jumbo Packs, Spectre Packs, and Arsenal Packs, the latter giving a lot of Rare stuff, but doesn't give N7 weapons as fast as with the other packs. (I'm telling that by experience, I'm finding more N7 weapons in Reserve Packs than in Arsenal Packs)

But just so you know : any weapon is good for Silver, you don't necessarly need an Harrier X. Even on Gold I sometimes find myself fooling around with common or uncommon weapons yet that are still effective enough, then again there's no secret in order to do this : the only thing you need is some experience.

By playing gold and platinum, dude. Like I pointed out in your other thread, the reason you have such an incomplete manifest is that you've always been playing bronze. Bronze = little money = less packs bought = less unlocks. Besides, you can pull your weight on gold with the stuff you have atm, if you learn how to get it's best.

In short a lot of games, but I did throw 40 to 60 in with every DLC except this last one, had they added maps I would have, no question.

I am semi retired so I have lots of gaming time, when building my manifest the vast majority of my games were friends, and mainly friends from BSN, now what that means is one will use less consumables, many gold games I didn't use any, our teams were running platinum using very little, some games nothing so that meant credits could go to anything but JEP's.

Aside from that I came up with a buying sustem that worked for me, every time new stuff was added I used that say way to spend and my manifest was always back to X in no time.

Played a lot, manifest not maxed, don't care much, game is fun without a maxed manifest.

Don't use real money in the store, just space credits.

OP, play the game for fun, don't sweat the manifest, it will come with time or not, doesn't matter.

Gold will still be there when you have better weapons and gear, until then, have fun on Bronze and Silver.

There's really nothing quick about it w/o cheating, even if you go max efficiency and farm Plat w/ a group of friends that never tire (good luck w/ that). Worry about getting rares and all the gear/mods unlocked and leveled, if anything, cause the UR hike is brutal; else, enjoy the game and keep ur consumables stocked w/ equip packs so you can get the most out of each match, cause fixating on the store will drive you insane.

Similarly to GallowsPole, I have health issues (pretty bad Sciatica) that effectively means I can't walk half the time and walk with a fancy shmancy cane.  I can work, but it's always an issue.

As a result I put a lot of effort into my hobby (video games) to the point where I can play most things (competitively even) and just roflstomp anyone playing against me.

Basically I'm pretty good at games. With ME3 I started soloing gold early on, and play platinum with ease. Platinum speedruns fill your manifest fairly quick. One of my friends started a new profile in December and pretty much has a maxed manifest again already.

As a side note: if anyone plays Left 4 Dead feel free to hit me up as I've been on that a lot recently.

You won't survive.

Who the heck would spend real $ on ME3 MP? You make 165k credits from platinum, and platinum isn't even that hard - unless you are unfamiliar with the mechanics of the game. I have like 50 (I think) URs to go and I've never spent a dime on ME3 MP. The DLC's in SP are expensive enough O.o

If I were you and had a busy life like that I'd be content with my achievements and not worry bout "maxing a manifest" in a video game that much. one day you will probably lose interest like everyone else I know that maxed their manifest and move on

Then what? All those hrs grinding down the drain...

Instead just take it slow and enjoy yourself.

I know I have no plans to max my manifest. :wizard:

I saw someone above said 500 hrs to max rares. That's a huge overestimate. I had maxed everything but UR and was a quarter through them at about 250 hrs.

Rares are easy.

It's the URs that require the long haul. I think <500 for a maxed manifest pre-Reckoning was on the low side.
