It was for me and since then I have tried several others but could never really get into it and thought about as to why that was the case. I realised that part of it the lore and story goes along with MP, a long history of playing the SP and the connection to the ME universe. I am not really sure if I can get into shooters just for the sake of playing a shooter. MP made you feel like part of the universe itself, whereas Call of Booty is just a shooter (a popular one) but has no lore to accompany it. What are your thoughts on this matter?

Not at all. I have Dishonered, Fallout New Vegas, GTA san Andrea, and both Borderlands games on my laptop right now.

Honestly, i didn't enjoy the mass effect 3 story. Maybe it's because i didn't play one or two, so ME3 was my first Mass Effect, but the story interested me a lot less than the combat, and a lot of the time i just wanted people to stop talking, and i didn't want to have to run around the citadel to get to the things i could kill.

You'll need a flame shield.

Before ME3: All the GTA games, COD 4 through Black Ops 1, Battlefield Bad Company 1, 2, and Battlefield 3, Borderlands, Gears of War 2 and 3, Halo Reach and Halo 4....

I could keep going, but simply put, no, this is not my first shooter.

Oh, i Sabe. Everyone hear that i've seen is in love with the story. I was like, "who are these people?" and tried to go through the diologue options to figure it out, but i fell asleep for two hours on my keyboard and fried my motherboard because i was so bored by it.

Not my first shooter, but certainly one of the most enjoyable online MP in spite of bugs, glitches and EA being a part of it

To clarify, I meant ME and ME2, NOT ME3, obviously not.

I've played other shooters before, but I don't think i've enjoyed them or spent as much time playing them as I did with MP. Halo Reach was probably a close second in time played, but that was a year or two ago. Can't play either one now, so oh well D:

You have trouble figuring out who is who because you didn't play the other games.

Go play them.

No, he is just hungry and wants us to feed him. :?

Mass Effect was my first shooter and through it I have actually developed a liking for TPS games. I have also started playing Defiance some time ago, though I'm finding myself coming back to ME3 now that I have finished the main storyline of the former.

Goldeneye was the first shooter that I played. I loved playing Perfect Dark when I was younger. As for MP shooters my first was Halo 3.

If you're playing a shooter game for the "lore", you're doing it wrong.

Gameplay and visuals are what make great shooters, not story.

Mass Effect 3 lacks a lot of intensity, as such I wouldn't really call it a shooter.

Although I wouldn't use the phrase "shooter" to describe the spray and pray moronic nonsense that call of duty is.

Probably not. Most of the ME3 story bored me to tears. I got caught up in the characters, and they touched me in a way, but the actual story just... wasnt there for me.

Not playing it for the lore but for the connection to the lore.

I wish Call of Duty died a quick death because it's killed the FPS.

Isn't Call of Booty the most popular FPS in the world?

If you measure popularity by units sold.

And if popularity also correlated with quality...
