Honestly, i didn't enjoy the mass effect 3 story. Maybe it's because i didn't play one or two, so ME3 was my first Mass Effect, but the story interested me a lot less than the combat, and a lot of the time i just wanted people to stop talking, and i didn't want to have to run around the citadel to get to the things i could kill.

You'll need a flame shield.

I could keep going, but simply put, no, this is not my first shooter.

Oh, i Sabe. Everyone hear that i've seen is in love with the story. I was like, "who are these people?" and tried to go through the diologue options to figure it out, but i fell asleep for two hours on my keyboard and fried my motherboard because i was so bored by it.

Not at all. I have Dishonered, Fallout New Vegas, GTA san Andrea, and both Borderlands games on my laptop right now.

To clarify, I meant ME and ME2, NOT ME3, obviously not.

You have trouble figuring out who is who because you didn't play the other games.
Go play them.

Mass Effect was my first shooter and through it I have actually developed a liking for TPS games. I have also started playing Defiance some time ago, though I'm finding myself coming back to ME3 now that I have finished the main storyline of the former.

Gameplay and visuals are what make great shooters, not story.
Mass Effect 3 lacks a lot of intensity, as such I wouldn't really call it a shooter.
Although I wouldn't use the phrase "shooter" to describe the spray and pray moronic nonsense that call of duty is.

Probably not. Most of the ME3 story bored me to tears. I got caught up in the characters, and they touched me in a way, but the actual story just... wasnt there for me.

If you're playing a shooter game for the "lore", you're doing it wrong.
Not playing it for the lore but for the connection to the lore.

If you measure popularity by units sold.
And if popularity also correlated with quality...
