Wait what?First of Isabella wasn't cruel nor evil.And you could argue about her being selfish.Morrigan and Isabella were used only for advertisment,and we're not the 'main romance' in any of the games.Isabella wasn't even a nesecarry companion.I'd say the main romance in origins was Alistar(because he moved the plot and you could be queen) and the main romance in DA2 was Anders because he was the only one who persistenly wants to hook up even after you say NO.I say that neither Morrigan or Isabella were forced on you,or were main romances,or were 'evil.And about the big boobs thing??Umm just because she has big boobs doesn't mean she has to be the main romance.

She is the main LI.
I would go so far as to call her the cannon LI.

I don't think there's usually a "main" female LI who impacts overarching events in a significant way - Morrigan seems like a very special case with the OGB. EDIT: There is Anders too, of course - but he's a male LI. I'm deleting Alistair after thinking about it because I'm doubtful of his long-term impact on anything.

In any case, I think there should be a variety of personality types - and that includes LIs that some might find disagreeable. If events demand that a disagreeable LI has a more significant role in the DA universe than others, well, too bad.

Why are some here so opposed to the honorable "dubebro" race. Since ancient times the dudebro people have maintainted the bro code and never backed down from a fight or a party. They deserve more respect than this.

In an RPG with character customization you still market to the largest group of players.

No I don't think DA2 blatantly catered to them the way most games do.
There were certain elements, but that is to be expected.

Eh. The manner in which a "main" LI is decided seems to be very much a matter of your perception, since the criteria you're using to decide in DA:O (main plot involvement) and DA2 (marketing material) are completely different.
So, I don't know, maybe engage in some mental gymnastics when DA3 comes out. Wish granted!

Well Morrigan is more prominent in Marketing material than Leliana.
Isabela stealing the Qunari tome is the whole reason the Qunari don't leave and it's the straw that broke the camel's back in regards to them attacking Kirkwall in Act 2. Merrill's story line isn't a part of the main plot.

Isabela is not evil. She's pretty neutral toward everything. Hell, she got hunted because she freed the slave ship. I feel like she's just someone who doesn't think of the consequences and just go with the flow, someone who is a free spirit. Morrigan is neutral evil while Isabela is truly neutral. Between the bickering between Fenris and Anders, Merrill's airhead, Isabela is a change of pace whenever I bring her with me. Isabela is awesome. I don't want Mr. Gaider to restrict his writing just because certain characters fit into certain archetypes. If it fits the storyline, then Bioware should use whatever characters they feel like.
