Learned Bronze by soloing and Silver by PUGing.

AnotherZoe helped me to Gold (and I'm still learning from her). Lately Dembed started helping me too. Rryuu introduced me to Plat recently.

Also learned about right hand advantage, reload canceling and such stuff after starting to actually lurk in BSN (tnx for that guys!).

Who makes me a better player? I tend to be more careful and keep an eye out if I'm with randoms. With friends I just play and relax more.

Who made me a better player? Superphoresis friended me when I was a good Silver player doing occasional Gold. Then She and Vironblood played Gold with me for two days then took me into Platinum, full extraction.

In real life I received a promotion in the banking industry that was, at the time pretty significant at a young age, getting a handle on everything I had to learn was pretty trying, I was having a beer one day with a sr exec and he said something that has stuck with me through life, surround yourself with people that are better than you as you will only be as good as your team.

When it comes to MP I have tried to surround myself with players that could show me the ropes, take what works and leave the rest at the door, I also find great pleasure in giving back so I have taken hundreds on to show them what I knew, not only did I learn from them it has made this game a tremendous amount of fun.

This forum has been excellent as well, like a family we have our issues but at the end of the day, it's all good.

And the player I've learnt the most from lately is Feneckus. I have to say, ever since he's gone I haven't learned much about this game if not by personal experience...

Back during demo and launch I used to play with some Aussie guys who were pretty good and helped level up into gold. Then I had another regular crew from another forum as well as some veteran BSNers like Neofelis. Used to love watching vids from the original PC speedrunning crew like zhhk and sabresandiego, picked up lots of tips and tricks.

After I came back and became a regular gold/plat player after a break, I can't really pinpoint anyone in particular as having shown me the ropes but I always enjoying playing with and learning from guys like Deerber (showed me the way of the Drell) and my regular plat crew during my manifest maxing days (Veranin, ArtimecWing, EdwardSaxby etc) none of whom are big BSN posters. Nowadays I PUG a lot and try pass some of my knowledge onto others.

I actually learnt a lot from watching people on Youtube. xcal, Jumpin and INVADERONE being the main three.

If i didnt have friends from here to play with i would prob have given up on the game by now - magniflyer, boogie, Reviving (trier), silentstep, palmofsorrows, killishandra and Big momma (on rare occasions they have space in their popular lobbies) and saippu are the people ive played with most often.

But tbh ive learnt the most from playing PUG games because with friends i know i can rely on them to revive me and do WHATEVER it takes to win. Even if it means telling them to abandon my dying body and run to extraction so at least someone extracts. With pugs, there is absolutely no point expecting sensible behaviour so i have improved a lot more from those games.

Kudos to the BSN folks for helping newer players like me.

Folks here have helped with general play and specific tactics - Deerber improved my play as a Slayer, Broganisity with the Talon, and Playfarcry just upped my game as  Fury. Crimson Vanguard took me along in-game as a scared Adept to make me comfortable playing a biotic on Gold.

Seriously, without the BSN boards, MP wouldn't nearly as much fun.

I'm lucky enough to have friends who are also top class players (AkulaTubShark, Hoochie Hamiltoe, Slother93, and Swarlos1713 to mention the long time crew...added/resurrected a few strong friends recently as well).

I get to learn a lot from my squad mates AND have fun at the same time!

Myself. I play public games. I gradually moved myself from Bronze to Silver to Gold. Operation Lodestar pushed me into Platinum, at least temporarily, so thanks, BroJo.

The PS3 chat room (Alliance Hazard Force) organized via this forum has helped me the most to gain confidence in gold & plat. Some of these guys are so good a gold run feels like bronze! Also got a lot of extractions/credits with these folks -- helps with manifest.

Learned it myself for the most part ie PUG matches.( i found BSN and started posting/asking here late after i started playing gold )...the only people i regularly play with are gohanowns and dembed these days....exchange opinions now and then....have fun doing so
