With all respect to OP, my vote would be NO. Because of nerfers. Let it be as it is...

What does the average person who vote knows about balance changes? A lot of people think they do, but that's often not the case. Balance changes shouldn't be purely based on votes.

As for the list, who gets to decide what makes the cut to this list in the first place?

Bioware could. They wanted some things to tweak, but haven't got the time. But they should still have a list of changes they wanted to make.

So let us vote on the easy to apply ones.

And what about testing these changes before they are made? Who is going to test them? Is the sample size big enough?

I like this idea, but I feel the balance changing process is more complicated than we actually know them to be. Are there any examples of other games that allowed the community to make balance changes for themselves and that it worked? Perhaps, we could learn from them and improve on it.

Why test them before they are made? If they are plain buffs or nerfs by 10% max there's nothing much to test. That's the point. WE the community test them, because Bioware can't.

Considering how polarized people are on this forum on what's considered broken, and what's not, I suspect it would descend into anarchy, and that right damn quick.

More importantly, not everyone who plays this game comes to the forums. I suspect that not even a minority of the players who play the multiplayer come to this forum. Forcing community changes based on what could be rightfully considered a minority of players seems unfair at best.

.....it would be a disaster. Changes would be made based on feelings and perceptions rather than facts and data. A real nightmare.

Why, would you change all Banshee insta-grabs to just light slaps instead?

After having a think... Have to say I trust the developers with the Balance stick.

No on the suggestion.

While, the developers idea of balance is a bit wacky.....I don't really trust BSN either.  to many wacky threads here.

the AIU fiasco basicly proved that this kinda happens anyway.  If we get enough whiners, then something will happen. Sometimes.

No because 1: multiple accounts and 2: nerf/buff wars would ensue and I've seen enough of them

Well then BSN sucks. Shame on you guys. If you can do worse balancing than Bioware, then you're scrubs.

If we did balancing the game would be horribly balanced.

It's much harder to balance a game well than a lot of the people on the BSN think.

Well if the guys like you and Pedro and Corlist and a few others were involved it woudn't be that hard. Pure math. No feelings.

Most of BSN plays on Gold or Plat.

Most of the playerbase plays on Bronze or Silver.

Most of BSN thinks balance changes should be based around what's weak or OP.

The game is actually balanced around what is used or not used.

BSN is a terrible place to go to get an accurate picture of balancing the game.

Try to make BSN act objectively with no feelings.
Just. Try.
A portion will ignore even reality and math to get at what they want.
As much as the more indepth analyzers can guide the discussion there'll still be people that go off the deep end hard and fast.

When you got a ton of glitches in the game you can use to your advantage, pure math isn't going to balance the game.

Well if the "reasonable" guys with pure math made a list with possible buffs and nerfs for us to choose from, then we would all act reasonably. You can't defeat math.

what is this all about anyway......what is hurting you still that you feel "something/anything" still needs a change

Again. Priorities. We would not start from buffing Harriers or nerfing Reegars. We should start from the very most UP things. And go from there.

Starting with something like Submission net or pet damage.

So basically give EA a free pass to ship unfinished games in the future because the community will literally finish it for them?

Listen to yourself, you're indoctrinated.

Nah.
''Reasonable'' is not something I've seen come up ever in anything balance related from BSNs community. Reason why I tried to stay out of those discussions and not contribute anything meaningful.
Even if the math says what it says.
Crazy does what crazy wants.
You can't fight crazy.

LOL.

Path 1: No Changes

Path 2: Try so make the game better with community help

I'll take Path 2

Same way I take mods in Fallout or Skyrim when the devs fail to make basic things over nothing.
