I have friends that kill characters becouse the option shows up (in games, not real life, I hope), so yeah, they are.

I agree I didn't like jacob in ME2 but I don't kill him. the only companion I enjoyed killing was anders for being a dumba** and for being the most annoying bioware character I have ever seen

That's just a sign of being a bad roleplayer. Just a gamer focused on mechanics and going through the motions. I don't think they're "bad" people, just a bit shallow.. Or at least, in my opinion they are. I think these type of games need to be enjoyed with some emotional and narrative investment. Otherwise, there's little point.

are you talking about people who play all the different options to see what happens cause I kind of agree since a good RPG should make you have emotion. I could never kill leliana or any companion because I like most of them (except anders) just like in my 8 imported shepards I never killed wrex

 I never kill a char. The people I dislike, e.g. Zevran in DA:O or Sand in NWN2 simply stay in the camp.
In NWN2 the side effect is, that those people have a low approval and therefore betray me at the end.

Leliana is and will always be brought back to life by The Lord of Light, much like Beric Dondarrion, the leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners, who's been brought back six times himself.

I like Leliana though she's a bit of a headcase. Then again, most of Bioware's females have been headcases.

To the OP:

She is most definately not anti-mage (read the Asunder novel if you get the chance, it gives some insight into Leliana post DA:O). She is just doing what she does best, being manipulative and having her fingers in many pies

Well, Bioware games have always allowed you to do awful things to NPCs and companions, such as Mission in KOTOR, so wouldn't that make Bioware just as gruesome as those gamers you are ridiculing? I would have been more likely to let Jowan go but his whiney voice was grating and he was extremely annoying. RPGs that give you more options for your character are a good thing especially if you don't want to be a goody-goody all the time.

Leliana was awesome. But I was pretty sad that they brought her back in DA2 and thereby seemingly invalidated my Warden's epilogue.

I love Leliana. She was my LI in my first playthrough.
There's people that just hate her for the same reason there's people that hates Liara. She's too popular.

Thats not what I meant. I genocided 2,5 spieces in ME3. The friend  I talked about have no reasoning beyond: "I can kill it, thus I have to".

I didn't like how she went from being very accepting in DAO to being so anti mage in DA2. I also think in DAO she was more of a I believe in what my heart says  and let the maker judge me and others not the chantry and did a 180 in DA2

As someone else pointed out, Leliana's behavior as "Sister Nightingale" is very jarring with her past characterization in Origins, as well as how she's written in the novel Asunder. A lot of fans felt that she across as anti-mage in Act III's "Faith", so you weren't the only one who felt that way.

I thought she was....ok... Half of her dialogue is ok and the other half makes me want to end the romance then and there. I think she could've been better, but she isn't as interesting when she's a goody-too-shoes, she needs to be more like Zevran.

Leliana is my favorite character in the Dragon Age series thus far.

Although I hope we don't see her again, if only so that I can think that she and my Warden had a happy ending.

Yea, Leliana isn't anti mage. But I don't think she even take side in this Templar - mage war anyway. She's only loyal to the Divine, and her friends, and treat everything else as ... neutral I think.

Anyhow, on the topic, yes, you are not alone. I quite like her myself (heck, I love the entire DA:O crew). She was a complex and well written character. I always think non hardened Leliana would be a great girlfriend if you are looking for a "nice, good nature" partner )

I like her in DA:O even my warden romance her despite he hate chantry and was mage which is weird because they are still together in DA 2(sure he was 99 % light side looking at his choices but still they are on two different sides).Hmm leliana anti-mage rather pro-chantry she dosen't have nothing to them but if killing them was better business for the chantry she is willing to do this whitout blinking.Leliana always was puppet type first to marjolene now to divine so if divine suddenly change her mind and decide kill all mages and support templars (unlikely if lambert still alive) ,leliana would support her ,even lying her after you have "fun" with morrigan is comically easy.
