Male Shepard because he gets to romance Jack. Even though there's no logical reason why Femshep shouldn't be able to as well.

I really enjoyed the hospital scene with Shepard and Ashley. Visiting with a loved one in a hospital is something we all can relate to and I thought the scene was handled well. I wish there were more scenes like that in the ME games. Stuff I can relate to in real life.

As for the OP's question, I really don't know. I thought Garrus was great for FemShep. It's an interesting dynamic. For MaleShep, I would say Ashley or Tali. Ashley is really just a person (problems and all) and I always like that about her. Tali is cute and pretty much worships Shepard. She would be my second choice.

Manshep gets better character options regardless of straight or gay. Numbers aren't so important.
I mean if jack was lesbian it wouldn't matter how many other female options Man-shep got. Because this is a question of the best romance options. Not that I like jack, she just made a great example. But All of the great characters go to Manshep. Just look at Jacob. Is there a female comparable version of Jacob? Someone who Cheats on Male Shepard? Is there a female comparison of Thane? A Character who dies in the middle of mansheps relationship due to a terminal illness, and sort of leaves you with their baggage? XD Straight or gay, Manshep gets all the good ones~ Whose only imperfection is being perfect, for example. )

You didn't come across like that at all but it was an interesting point to expand on.

You're right though. FemShep has four "in-depth" characters in Kaidan, Liaria, Garrus and Thane (the tragic aspect suits some of my femSheps perfectly) whereas manShep has Ashely, Jack, Miranda, Liaria, Tali, Kaidan and Cortez.

Fshep only gets 2 males in ME3 but they need to be locked in and imported otherwise its girls, girls, girls seriously....

Though I say fshep x Garrus is the best romance for her

So how do we measure this? Total romances for the sex, single best romance for that sex, or average quality for all possible romances? Obviously FemShep loses if it's total number.

Note that Thane dying means that a FemShep can do, say, Kaidan/Thane/Kaidan without actually dumping anyone. I thought that played out pretty nicely.,

There is no measure.
That's the answer.


Me personally, I try to measure quality over quantity.
But heck, even that is highly subjective.


It really is down to personal taste.


Going by "your" criteria, who wins? Female Shepard or Male Shepard.
Because in the end of the day, personal opinion is the only one that counts.

I think in a way gay MShep gets the worse deal in that he doesn't get any alien romances


And all Shepards get a raw deal in that they don't get to experience kromance

In terms of shear quantity Male Shepard wins easily. As for quality, well that's a subjective issue and open to plenty of debate.

I've only experienced Male Shepard's romances with Ashley in ME1 ( pretty good all around ) and Miranda in ME2 and ME3 ( the actual romance is good, sex scene in ME2 feels very cheap and in poor taste and ME3 lacks content ) so I can't really comment here on quality.

FemShep also gets the opportunity to catch STDs from Allers


Donkey Kong isn't a romance option in the main game, but you get the opportunity to sexually harass him into sleeping with you in the Citadel DLc
