My Shepard shot down both Control and Synthesis.

No one's Shepard does that immediately.  After the Catalyst explains what Destroy will do. Shepards says "there must be another way." Unless you refuse, all Shepards considers other possibilities.

Probably not. After all. I'm in this for minimal sacrifice.

I'm not. I choose destroy because it is what the majority of my crew wants. If they were there and I heard their opinions I may change.

Like I said earlier in the thread: I suspect it'd play out like ME1's choices, where someone advocates for choice A and someone advocates for choice B. And sometimes Tali is hilariously renegade for no good reason, because I brought Liara or a happy shiney Garrus along... Of course, with 3 choices and refuse, it'd be kind of funny. Assuming I took my favorite team....

Garrus: I don't know, Shepard. You could do a lot of good if you were queen of the Reapers, but that sounds like a long shot. Maybe you could just shoot them? That's a lot of potential to throw away, though.

Tali: Well, I don't trust it. Maybe we should just find another way. On the other hand.... Well, it really would help my people to have a smoother interface with machines. I bet it'd help a lot of people. But that sounds crazy. So maybe we should just go.

Shepard: If you guys can't make up your mind, how can I?

Someone else pointed this out, but it seems to me that there would be no devil's advocate among your squad in this case. Both would choose destroy, simply because it would be completely out of character for anyone you bring with you to suggest that you kill yourself to spare the synthetics and keep the repurposed reapers. I know for certain that Garrus and Liara (LI) wouldn't. I think this is really the reason why you don't get to take anyone with you. All of your other decisions didn't involve whether or not Shepard him/herself would die, only if someone else does.

Out of character to suggest you kill yourself? Certainly. Out of character to advocate for other options and volunteer to be the one to initiate them? I wouldn't be so sure about that. If you thought the goodbye at the beam run was brutal, imagine a Dragon Age: Origins heroic sacrifice version.

Garrus: Destroy, without any second thought. 
Tali: Most likely Destroy. Eventually Synthesis if Geth still around. Hard choice.
Ashley: Destroy - obviously.
Kaidan: Wouldn't be able to make a choice. Crucible eventually gets destroyed. Reapers win.
Liara: Hard to say, she would be quite conflicted. Ultimately would choose Destroy because reapers are abominations that should never have existed and the galaxy should be able to choose its own future.
Javik: Destroy. Might be tempted by renegade control though... looking at what he says about Rachnis.
Jeff: Ouch... Would he be willing to sacrifice EDI ? I can hardly realise how much he loves her... I believe he would still do what he has to do and send the reapers to hell.
EDI: Synthesis. She's quite naïve and wouldn't accept to sacrifice the Geths, nor controlling them.
Legion: Synthesis of course. ME2's Legion probably Control or Destroy depending on the consensus opinion.
James: Destroy - obviously again. 
Mordin: Certainly not synthesis. Control doubtful. Probably Destroy. Geths necessary sacrifice.
Zaeed: Godamn reapers. Destroy. Adding on his stories where he's the only one who gets out alive.
Samara: Not control IMO, no one should be able to own such power. Neither Synthesis (playing god). Destroy OR Refuse.
Thane: Quite similar to Samara, I think he wouldn't want to play with forces beyond his understanding. Destroy or Refuse.
Jacob: Uhh... I don't know really.
Grunt: Would screw this up and shoot the AI. Feel bad for saying it but that's so true. Otherwise Destroy.
Wrex: Destroy. lol.
Kasumi: Destroy I guess.
Miranda: I believe she changed her opinion about control... and would rather get rid of the reapers once and for all. Destroy.
Jack: Destroy.

My opinions of course, though I tried to be as objective as possible.
