I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I wondered what weapons people tend to choose, not only for their Shepard, but for each squadmate as well, and if those choices tend to stay the same or not.

My main Shepard is a Sheploo soldier and I always use the Mattock.  Sometimes I use a secondary, but not always, but when I do it used to be a Paladin with a pistol scope until they changed the ammo from 4 to 3.

For Garrus he always has the Black Widow and the Mattock.  I used to go with the Mantis since it's his signature sniper rifle, but the Black Widow outperforms it, so I went that way.

Liara always has the Bloodpack Punisher SMG and the Bloodpack Executioner pistol.  It just made sense since they're merc weapons she's a quarter Krogan.  Before those it was the Hurricane and the Eagle.

Tali always has the Geth Plasma Shotgun and the Arc pistol.

Ashley always has the N7 Valiant sniper rifle and the Argus rifle.  It's a shame her Marksman power is broken so I don't put any points into it.

James always has the N7 Crusader shotgun and the N7 Valkyrie, but I always have him stick with the shotgun.  James kicks ass with the Crusader.

Javik always uses his Particle Rifle.  I equip him with the Arc Pistol only because I have to, but he never uses it.

EDI always uses the Bloodpack Punisher SMG and the Bloodpack Executioner pistol.  Before that it was the Hurricane SMG and the Eagle.

For temporary squadmates:

Wrex uses the Claymore, of course, and the Bloodpack Executioner pistol, since he's a Krogan, but he only uses his Claymore.

Aria used the M-11 Wraith shotgun, since it's a rare Terminus merc shotgun, and the Bloodpack Punisher SMG.

Nyreen used the Phaeston rifle and the Bloodpack Executioner pistol, since she's Turian and a merc.

Shep uses the Valiant, but normally just Throws everything to oblivion.

Liara uses the Acolyte because she's an asari, and the Geth SMG because it looks cool.

Garrus uses the Phaeston because he's a turian, and the Mantis because that's the weapon he's always had.

No one else is allowed off the ship.

 Sentinel!Shep carries the Wraith as primary weapon. My secondary would be an SMG, but because of cutscenes, I carry the Avenger (now Lancer, since they look practically identical) and Predator instead.

Most squadmates are pretty insignificant to me when it comes to combat, but Garrus turns heads with the Javelin X.

EDI is okay with the N7 Hurricane. Liara gets herself killed using it, so I keep her on the Paladin.

Javik = PPR obvi. There can only be one, so no two squadmates can equip that one. Lancers for everyone else.

James and Tali get N7 Crusader since it has innate piercing ability and the squad-AI stupidly likes to shoot at cover.

Wrex got the Claymore because of cutscenes. Otherwise, I'd have given him the Raider.

My Shep uses the Cerberus harrier, tempest and predator pistol. Liara gets the geth SMG and arc pistol. Garrus gets the N7 valkyrie and black widow. I take James on my Cerberus side missions with a mattock and graal spike thrower. Easily my favorite out of the shotgun variety other than the geth plasma one. Javik gets his particle gun.tali gets the geth shotgun and arc pistol
