Greetings everyone!

Not a big deal here, not looking for any feedback so feel free to just watch it if you feel like it. And as I say in my youtube description:

This is my personal take on the ME3 ending. Made it sometime ago and originally only for myself in order to being able to enjoy the series once again but have now decided to share it out here as well.

NO MORE:
A) Catalyst nonsense;
B) Dumb down of the Reapers;
C) Fallacies of thought;
D) Circular logic;
E) Moronic Adam and Eve references;
F) Wasteland scenario.

ADDED:
A) Extended Anderson and Shepard conversation;
B) Earth battle scenes and space battle scenes between the takes for extra sense of urgency;
C) Final Harbinger taunts/insults;
D) Shepard's freedom speech;
E) Joker/Normandy's rescue launch attempt;
F) Miranda's voice of encouragement;
G) Normandy's rescue team mission;
H) Edited Admiral Hackett's final epilogue speech;
I) Edited epilogue scenes and slides;
J) Normandy memorial scene (by MEHEM);
K) Full cast and crew slideshow;
L) LI/Miranda reunion;
M) Different cues and music pieces.

UPDATED v2.0:
- Improved quality of some scenes;
- Revamped crucible docking scene and of a few of the space battle scenes;
- Farewell slideshow now with names of everyone and with better color quality;
- Added new and better version of slides for Kelly, Zaeed and Kasumi;
- Added farewell slides for Dr. Chakwas, Kenneth and Gabby;

UPDATED v3.0:
- Major changes from v2.0' taking place mostly on the 3rd part of the video;
- Improved quality for most scenes;
- Improved Shepard's rescue;
- Added extra bit for Admiral Hackett's final speech;
- New cut for the farewell scenes;
- Squadmates final goodbyes;
- Added few bits from the Citadel DLC;
- Several corrections and minor tweaks here and there.

If you couldn't accept the original ending because it just insulted your intelligence and you're still looking for other different takes and versions you're more than welcome to mine.

I sincerely hope you do enjoy my take on the ending but if for any reason you don't that's fine as well.

Cheers! Live long and prosper! ;)

It's not that I don't appreciate people making these improved endings, it's just that I find it hard to look at any more of them because it always feels like banging my head against a hard surface to look at what could very easily have been if a couple of guys at BioWare hadn't decided to force us all into the mess they concocted to break the setting. So freaking depressing.

Just wanted to say that to indicate we're not all just ignoring you.

Way to completely kill the mood with all that overly bombastic orchestral music. At 21:20, is that stuff for real? The music I mean. Seriously?

I prefer the real ending. Less cheese.

Agreed.

Sadly I've come to accept that Bioware frakked us on this one... wait no. It's unfair to blame all of Bioware when it was only Casey and Mac who wrote the ending.

You know what, frak it. Bioware/Mac/Casey have one last chance to fix things. Mass Effect 4's story is the only real thing that can fix ME3's ending. If it doesn't do a good job at it then i'm certain fans will abandon this franchise forever. It's up to them to re-ignite the flame.

I wonder if we'll ever be able to get you to admit that you're getting paid for all this brown-nosing. It's the only sensible explanation for over a year's worth of behavior that would make even the most dedicated and fanatical of drones hang their heads in shame.

I just didn't enjoy the vid in the OP. I know you're quite fond of the whole derailing thing, but you could at least tell the OP what YOU think, instead of just posting your usual whine.

You've been whining about stuff on here for just as long. The only difference is that I actually like the game I talk about.

Sure.

OP, good job.

Happy, Brovikk?

Of course, it's not that you "just" didn't like the video in the OP; it's that you loathe all non-official ending-related productions with a passion usually reserved for orgasms. Under normal circumstances, I'd have called you a troll (and admittedly, a fairly successful one at that), but not even trolls are this persistent. Only people with a financial stake in the matter would be.

We've been over this before. If you want to believe all that, go ahead. Maybe you can help land me a job.

Pretty lofty title, do not you think?

maybe, but it's far better than the ending bioware gave us.

Yes, the music is called "Remember Me" and it's a beautiful piece.

Must you dump on everyone's attempts to find some happiness and closure in ME3?

I've nothing against happy endings. However, I refuse to have any part in an ending that forces people away from acknowledging that the Reapers don't have to be inherently abominations.

I prefer the EC. Only thing I like is that extended Anderson scene.

Also that huge prop for Karpyshyn at the end, I had to really shake my head a bit. We cant really say if he would have done a great job either, reading his proposed DE endings and all which are crap imo. The cult of Karpyshyn seems to live strong still, grass always seems greener on the other side.

I'm sorry, but I thought it was crap, especially with the music like mentioned above. If that was the ending, people would have complained bitterly about there not being a choice. Mod the ending and make videos like this if you want, but don't call it stuff like "ultimate best ending".

I think we can all agree that had Bioware given itself more time, it would have produced a better game overall, but they didn't and we got what we got. It's still a hell of a game if you ask me. And. It's been a year since the game came out. Doesn't seem a bit crazy to still be obsessing over the ending? It's over and done with and a new game is being developed. Let's look forward to seeing what the writers have in store for us.

Nice incorporation of other material. The final scene music is a bit much for my own tastes. The audio clipping is a worthwhile effort but needs a little...oh I dunno...smoothing? It's pretty good, BUT....

I still like mine better.
(Naturally)
