well, I for one thought this was a bloody fantastic and very, very enjoyable ending... call it over the top all you want, I don't think its anything less than what Mass Effect the series deserves.
there's no need to be different for the sake of being different when you already are, and I think the devs and writers/director in question(able taste) could be stood to be reminded of this every now and then. Hats off to them for a damn good series anyway, can't ever forget that, even if we don't agree with how the few of them wanted to and did end it.
and remember people... particularly all you avant garde vaunting individuals (I'm not pointing any elbows)... there's more than a few reasons why the so called 'hollywood' endings work.
if you're going to end a series I'd rather it be a celebration, not a funeral march and dirge that it was.

Ahhh. Man there was just too much stuff added in there! It had some good things, but they were drowned out by all the unfitting copy paste from entirely different games!
I wish someone would learn "less is more" and just make a good ending mod, which cuts out the bad stuff, without trying to shoehorn in too much other stuff, like cutscenes from different games. Has that been done?
The increased Anderson dialouge was cool though, was that cut content?
