Hi, I was just trying to import a save file into BG2, and I pulled up my install directory (C:/programfilesx86/BlackIsle/BG2) and I don't see any save folder. Are saves strored somewhere else in Windows 8? Any help is greatly appreciated.

In future try NOT install games in *default* location. Better to custom folder (i.e. c:\\games\\). As for the save folder - try to look in My Documents\\My Games\\...

not there...if I haven't saved any games yet, will there not be a save folder? does it only create the folder once you've actually saved a game?

just found it, it's in the app data folder. I had to create a test save and then search for the name of the save file. Thanks anyways.

That's the way I would have done it. If you make up a name that is unlikely to be found elsewhere, it should be easy to find.
