I'm saying that I can never find an alien attractive or beautiful, in the sexual or romantic sense.

Not even Twi'leks!? :o

Heresy!

Not even Twi'leks.

The most "alien" that I'm willing to go is Zeltron or Chiss. And neither are really alien to begin with. They're offshoots of basic humans. They're still genetically human.

Oh OH how about the miralukas :o

Eww. No eyes.

Why is it I never see people being negative about romancing Garrus or Thane? A bird and a reptile respectively. At least Asari and Quarians are the same class of species.

Because most of the players who romance Garrus and Thane are female?

If I woke tomorrow and found that the ME universe had come true, I would say that there would be a 90% chance that I would still remain with female humans. The 10% is that part of the never say never clause in life.

But my main three Shepards are not me so not one of them is a female with a human female. What? Image IPB

One Shepard is a straight male with Ashley, one Shepard is a straight female that has fallen for an alien (Liara) and the other is a straight female with Kaidan. Their stories take me away from my world and to play me ... well, if I wanted to play me then I would shut the game down and go about my daily life. *looks at bills on the table and sighs*

The way I see it is simple ... like my mind ... how I play is up to me, how you play is up to you. There are no right or wrongs, just personal preference. Hearing how others see things or play their versions of Shepard can be interesting as well as lead to thoughtful discussions, but to try and argue over personal choices makes no sense ... at least to my simple mind.

But to each his own. Image IPB

Hell, I'm a straight male and even I have to admit there's something to that voice, plus you can't not find this scene amazing.

I would embrace a Hapan though.

They're selectively bred to be beautiful.

Though they have terrible night-vision.

That would have been interesting.... John Cleese voice acting Shepard. They would have had to put in the "Sarcastic" Shepard, as well as the Paragon/Renegade Shepard. And of course they'd have had to have had a fish available for sale at the gift shop named "Wanda".

Anyway, I do have to do one more play through with femShep and romance Garrus just because I found out he can Tango. THAT, to me is worth the romance. It's going to be hard, because I really like Liara, but she doesn't Tango.

Aparently the issue is you have different preferences, and apparently that just is not allowed on the BSN

Hmm. That sucks.

So because I'm straigtforward in my taste in species (I am absolutely rigid in my feeling that only humans are sexually and romantically attractive), I'm a racist. That's the vibe I'm getting.

Actually the "issue" (which was an observation not an issue) was that it seems like the only people who hold the "Aliens are icky/repulsive/what have you" stance seem to go for the Miranda avatars or signatures.

Which I found odd enough to point out.

That's pretty much it.

I don't think aliens are icky, repulsive, or scary. In fact, I resent that belief greatly. I believe in fairness and equality for all species, and I want to dispel a lot of the isolationism felt by humanity towards aliens and increase co-operation and fostering of life.

That said, I simply am incapable of feeling attraction for a non-human.

I'm stipulating my biological sexual preference, and because I can only hold romantic and sexual feelings for a human female, it's implied that I'm a racist? Along with the fact that I do believe Miranda is the best LI? And that I do agree with her ideals and beliefs?

At least you're not as bad as the LGBT crowd. I support them, but a lot of them don't like how I don't believe in pan-sexualism. They're pretty vocal about it too.

That's pretty much what I got out of your initial post, it sounded as you were talking specifically about your own preferences romantically and sexually, not that you had some sort of problem with inter-species relationships in general; just that they aren't for you.

Easy. When others can't deal with your preferences, they are the ones who have issues :D

I like Miranda, and in other games she'd probably be my canon LI. Mass Effect just happens to have 2 I like even more. As for Miranda, I love how she feels about Oriana and also how troubeled she was for wanting that control chip. Both her ME2 loyalty mission and said ME3 dialogue were very touching. Plus, she's sexy, strong and confident without being arrogant, maybe even a little too humble.

To go even further, I feel the same about real life interracial couples.

I'm fine with them, but it's not for me. I am incapable of being attracted to a non-white woman.
