I have advanced tactics installed, and it's working . . . sort of. My party members, however, do not move without orders. This means that they will not follow the selected character in exploration mode, and in combat, they will use tactics, but they will not move. Thus a melee character will stand still and get shot with arrows, but if someone comes into melee range, they will attack according to the tactics defined in the list.
This seemed to begin after I activated the 'posessed' feature for the first time, however deactivating that feature had no effect.
Issues with the "advanced tactics" mod

Right below your character's portrait there are two little buttons, the one to the left toggles targets, with each party member choosing their own or selecting one target for all. The other toggles movement. Try clicking that several times while you are moving about.

I can't believe it was something so . . . . blond. Thank you for not ridiculing me. I know it must have been difficult.

That option is keybound to "H" by default, by the way. That's probably how you activated it

Am playing Ultimate Edition and cannot amass enough points to do any of the following quests: The Stone Prisoner, Soldier's Peak or Return to Ostagar. Am on final treaty quest with 560 points and they all need 1200 points. Any solutions? Also did not start with Dragon Plate Armor nor does Bodhan stock any of the other pieces; Any ideas?

Two other possibilities: On the right hand side of the tactics book at the top there is a drop down menu to set behavior for the character you are setting tactics for. If you read the drop down pop up you will see that for some of the behaviors the character will not attack without player direction if none of their tactics apply. So at the very least, always have a line in your tactics list:
enemy nearest visible -> attack
which works for most situations. One last thought, when you find a set of tactics that you are happy with for the character, write down the list somewhere. That will help you when you start playing on hard or nightmare difficulty and allow you to fine tune your tactics each game without having to waste time finding out what works all over again.

These are DLC, and included with DAO:UE. No need for extra purchases. Make sure you register your game on BSN. Some the items require a promo code that should be either in the box or in your purchase confirmation email.
Good luck!
