Was watching The Rolling Stones live, and I got to thinking about how few and very far between. Great.Great frontmen are in the music bizz. There are very few great rock n' roll bands still doing great work and tours today- U2, Metallica and RHCP are probably just the few, but anyway's I got to thinking about greatest frontmen of all time. Regretabbly all these bands and signers were in their prime well before I was born or I was just a wee laid (born 89') but heres my list:
1- Mick Jagger- Rolling Stones
2- Freddie Mercury- Queen
3- Bono- U2
4- Rober Plant- Led Zepplin
5- Jim Morrison- The Doors
6- Roger Daltry- The Who
7- Chris Cornell- SoundGarden
8- Kurt Cobain- Nirvana
9- James Hetfield- Metallica
10- Joe Strummer- The Clash.
What's your's?
Greatest Frontmen/LeadSingers of all time.

Bono as I believe a frontman is only as good as his live performances. U2 and Bono sound great live and have the highest grossing concert toru of all time.
Mick Jagger is a very close second.

Yeah, Bono live is something everyone should expierence. U2 live is not just a concert, it's an event. But I think Jagger is better- just by a little. But Bono is easily the greatest Lead singer of his generation. Easily.

This name probably won't come up a lot here, but...
Karl Hyde - Freur and Underworld. The look of sheer enjoyment on his face when he performs is just... beautiful.
Also, Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode.
