Pretty sure its the bugged update that did it to me. Just make a note of it, Bioware, when you release the fixed update, kay?

Its like the recruiter bug thats suddenly happening. I think its the title update that a few of us (un)lucky ones got thats messed everything up.
Just fyi, I cleared the cache, saved a new game, reloaded save, killed some darkspawn (I'm at 574 now) and still no achievement.
I'm reeeeeeally hoping this gets addressed. I didn't play DA for two months until that patch recently (finally thinking I had a fixed game), and while I'm happy to have gotten my Wardens Keep achievements finally, I feel as if the patch actually did more harm than good. Which means I sigh, and put the game back on the shelf until I can feel comfortable in knowing things will work.

Having the same issue, 552 darkspawn killed and no achievement. Same story with Recruiter, too. And, oh yeah, my game started freezing tonight, after it's been getting twitchy the last couple of days. Could be my xbox on that last one, but I don't think I'm quite talented enough to break achievements. ...Yet. >.>

I got the achievement very early on (Tower of Ishal) on my second play through.Tri Force95 wrote...
Im pretty sure its over all playthroughs, so if you start a new character, then it'll be alot easier to get. Besides that, I can't think of anyway to get 1000 (i still havent, yet)
This situation with the DLC/Update probably bugged your game, but other than that killing darkbaddies is pretty easy.
I have stopped playing since this horse**** update, simply be buying ME2, even though i was so looking forward to it. I'm just not wanting to go through this BS again, the service from BW has been awful.
I like Bethesda so much more.

Got Master Warden after about 100 darkspawn kills.
Uh, oh. Alright then. I guess working wonky is better than not working at all. I still blame the update.

Dropping my two cents in here, too, for the heck of it...

Aside from the freezing issues, I'm having the same problems with both Master Warden and Recruiter. I've killed nearly 600 Darkspawn but MW still hasn't unlocked, and last night, I recruited the "secret" companion to complete the Recruiter requirement, but that Achievement didn't unlock, either.
This is the FIRST time I've ever encountered Achievement-related glitches/bugs on any game, and is the first time I've ever been even slightly disappointed in BioWare (my favorite developer). I should point out that these missing Achievements happened after I installed the Stone Prisoner DLC.
It would be nice if someone from BioWare could acknowledge this problem and reassure their loyal fans -- who've put in hundreds of hours on this game -- that they're going to issue a fix that opens those Achievements for those of us who legitimately earned them.

Now that I think about it, I did grab RtO before it was taken down; I wonder if one of the bugs is that the game doesn't recognize Darkspawn kills from that DLC counted toward the achievement? lol

I unlocked Blight-Queller, Recruiter and Traveler last night without any problems.

Have any of you removed the title update by clearing the cache on your Xbox? I got the DLC and update last Wednesday, played that day, and had my specializations relocked. On Thursday, I then removed the update, re-unlocked my specializations and kept playing.
I unlocked Blight-Queller, Recruiter and Traveler last night without any problems.
I have, several times, and I even uninstalled the game from the hard drive and reinstalled. I had to get all my specs back as well. At least Traveler popped up for me without any hassle, but B-Q and Recruiter are still giving me problems.

Did you play through RTO? I haven't (though it is installed), and that's the only thing different that I can think of.

I did, and I think it might be a partial source of these problems (the other of course the update). Someone else in another thread suggested starting a Fem/City Elf and playing through til you are made a Warden to get Recruiter; I haven't tried that yet, since another person said they unlocked it playing a Mage.
I've been playing a Mage, finished the Ogre, no pop up yet. Although this is a character I made before I downloaded the recalled update, so it may only work with brand new characters.

I suspect the DLC requires the update in order for the RTO achievement to unlock. If so, then it explains why no one who has cleared their cache has been able to unlock, but those who played it with the update install were able to.

Is it possible for a EA/Bioware rep to post what the official exact requirements are for these achievements now after the update?
I find your optimism inspiring, sir.
It's certainly possible that it can happen, but it is in the same degree of likelihood as the existence of avian piglet ninjas from Sweden.

Anyways, I followed up with another question that pointed out that my request was for how to get an achievement not to ask them to "correct a bug." That response was even less helpful.
SO, I started a game off-line where I replayed the Battle at Ostagar over and over, saving each time after defeating the Ogre. The achievements unlocked properly based on Darkspawn kills made by the TEAM. Clearly the update changed the criteria for the achievement (I suspects that it is kills made by the main character across all playthroughs).
There are 66 Darkspawn in the battle of Ostagar - I repeated it like 14 times (sad face). You can do it that way if you want. In my main Rogue file I have over 1300 Darkspawn kills and I felt that I earned the right to farm this. You can do what you will with this info.
