So something tells me that  those wacky Qunari will be back in DA3.
Perhaps they will be the big bad swooping in while the mages and Templars are busy tearing eachother apart?
I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of players killed the Arishok in DA2, so surely their Qun would demand revenge for the death of such an important pillar of their religion.
With Sten as the new Arishok, this would provide a familiar face to the enemy leader, which would be interesting.
MoTA's plot involved them, and I was dissappointed that I could not stop Tallis after finding out who she really was and what she was trying to do.
I would like the option to land a serious blow to the Qun and its followers once again. Killing the first Arishok was great, and I would have no qualms about killing Sten if need be.
Make it happen, Bioware.:)

What, in one game?

Not that I disagree with the premise, but taking out the entire Qun will be trickier than that. Kicking the bastards in the chin, however, I'll be quite happy to do.

You are probably right. It could be a nice setup for DA4. Instead of wiping them out completely, perhaps we could send another message by killing another prominent member. Like the Ariqun.

The Qunari is one of the most unique parts of Thedas. You will not this time, nor in any DA game ever, get to destroy them. They simply add too much flavor to miss out on for Thedas.

The Qun is an idea.

That idea is not so easily destroyed.

Sure, but don't expect an entire change within Thedas for the next game. This is not an insult to BioWare, just a statement to the monumental task that would be if they decided to have a consequence to this. I've learnt that BioWare are more familiar with microcosmic events than the macrocosm. And I understand it too.

God knows how long DA will last, huge events like the above can shake the current political status of Thedas immensely. With the Qun gone, Tevinter will surely claim those lands left, all those taken will be made into slaves, or used blood sacrifices for the Magisters. To make a long story short: There'll be another big player in the field.

Perhaps the Tal-vashoth kossith can be spared, allowing the uniqueness of their race to live on.
But followers of the Qun are fanatics who will stop at nothing to make all of Thedas bow to their beliefs. A massive conflict is unavoidable.

Am I the only one who is content with merely existing for a while in an alternate reality without the expectation that I can unilaterally dole out mass extinctions to its occupants and ideologies?

Not unless they attack first. I don't favor aggression unless it's forced.

Hold my hand my brother and we may form a chain which cannot be broken.

I don't think the Qunari will want revenge for the death of that Arishok. They saw what happened. The Arishok challenged Hawke to a duel (if, you know). And Hawke beat him fair and square.

He was not strong enough.

He also, gurgling on his own blood, says something along the lines of 'we will return.'

The Qunari intent to bring the light of the Qun to all I think.

But until they try I'd like to attempt peace. We can always wipe their sorry behinds when they do.

That is what bad guys always say: "I will return!", "You will pay for this!" or something similarly cliche.

This. Although my blasted warrior Hawke couldn't beat him fair and square and was forced to bum rush him in cowardly fashion... (yeah yeah bad player and all that).

Back to the eradicating, I think that all the choices to effect game worlds on such large scales (destroy the Geth, Quarians, Krogan, Rachni, Synthesis, Control) ultimately undermine the richness of the eperience by giving undue power to the player character and making them effectively ommnipotent. (which would be fairly boring in my opinion). Looking back, this is more a problem with Mass Effect than Dragon Age.

Also please give us the option to destroy the world. Come to think of it wasn't there someone a while back who made a big long thread requesting just that?

Well, my mage Hawke defeated him by letting his mabari distract him, running in circles, blasting him a few times, running in circles...

Honorable combat. =]

The problem with the Qunari is that  a 'live and let live' philosophy is incompatible with their religion. I think that conflict is and always will be inevitable when you have an army of powerful, aggressive fanatics at your doorstep. Andrastians will have no choice but to push back.
I see another exalted march against the Qunari in Thedas' future.

Sure, but it won't be cuz we killed that Arishok. That Arishok was defeated fairly. They coulda jumped us right then if they wanted to.

They will return tho. Cuz that's how they roll. Either convert, or they turn you into a mindless worker drone.

I'd say wait until we see the entirety of the Qunari before this happens we haven't even gone to one of there cities yet and most of what we know about is through codex entries and bits and pieces from Sten,Fenris,Tallis, and the novels.

It's a bit too early to wipe them out yet Dragon Age 4 hasn't even come out yet folks.

And Tallis joined by herself.

I'm going to kill anyonbe that attempts force, but the simple existence of the Qun is not a provokation in my eyes.
