Are they, really? Qunari mages don't seem to be much worse than any other qunari. They have a place in qunari society, like everyone else, and seem to find contentment in fullfilling it. The saarebas in DA2 prefered to commit suicide than betary the qun; the majority of circle mages, even the non-rebelious ones, don't seem to share that sentiment towards the circle system...

They're horribly tortured and psychologically broken. They're as much prisoners as any abomination.

Don't pretend trying to annihilate the Qun is some noble thing. There's a difference between "freedom for andrastians" and "freedom ONLY for andrastians". If the people of thedas are only free to worship andraste, how is it freedom? What about freedom for the elves from the andrastians? From my POV liberating the people of thedas (human and non-human) from the mutated abomination that is the andrastian religion.

I'll end with a seemingly unrelated multiple question that I would be interested inreading everyone's answer:

On your home from school/work you happen to enter a local PIZZA place for the first time. After TASTING the PIZZA, you have a revelation: This is the best PIZZA you ever had, and you know in your heart that you will never find a better PIZZA.

What do you do?:

A) Go home and spend the rest of your life in contentment, safe with the knowledge that your life is complete now that you have found the one true PIZZA.

Spread the word to your friends and family, so they too can feel the joy of PIZZA.

C) Purchase several PIZZA PIES, hit the streets ad MAKE people share in the PIZZA for their own good!

D) Stay at the PIZZA place, and learn the way of making the PIZZA. Eventually you go out and build your own PIZZA place, where atleast once a week you and your followers will practice the ritual of STANDING IN LINE TO EAT PIZZA.

The Qunari are a formidable force of fanatics. They will seek to convert everyone.
Orlais, Tevinter, the Free Marches, Ferelden, etc. will eventually have to set aside their bickering and combine their forces to deal with the threat. Lest they become lobotomized slaves.
That is what I am advocating for.
Unless the Qunari are wiped off the face of Thedas, they will always pose a threat to free-thinking society.

Yes, Andrastians aren't blameless when it comes to 'spreading the Chant', but the Qunari are on a whole other level of zealotry. They will not (cannot?) leave others in peace. And yet at the same time they feel as though they are spreading peace.
Anyone who resists is reduced to a drooling qamek slave.

Qun is interesting ideology, bit so alien... I would like it and respect, if it wouldn't be agressive. So now I likely to eradicate Qun and qunary, because they turned out to be fanatic buthchers who understand only language of strenght. If there will be variant to wipe out only agressive qunary-- I'll choose it. But if treat of the Qun can be annihilate only with genocide of the qunari-- I'll do that.

I wouldn't want to eradicate the qun, since it's such a vital part of the DA setting. I would, however, love the chance to spread some discord in their ranks, creating a splinter faction of qunari (the race) fighting against the oppression. And before someone says "we already have the tal vasoth!", the tal vasoth are struggling individuals with no unity or shared purpose. They could never hope to fight the qun, and from what we've learned in the past games, most of them don't seem to want to, either.

Actually the Qunari prefers peaceful conversion, they do however respond with force if people forcibly resist. As in they will defend themselves.

This whole premise of "destroy the Qun before it destroys us" is so hypocritical. Yes, the qun is innately violent towards outsiders, and yes, you should defend yourself against it. Going on an all-out campaign for the annihilation of followers of the Qun? Kind of extreme if you ask me, especially when you know that a large portion of their followers are simple workers who've been indoctrinated for so long.

Argue all you want about how much worse the qunari treat everyone (including their own), in the end andrastian zealots are just as bad. "Things aren't going our way? Let's have an exalted march to kill whoever disagrees with us."

Yes, my point is terribly simplistic, but I'm in a hurry right now, and I don't have the time to type an elaborate post ^^

I agree, we should destroy one of the more interesting factions in the game. Next we make all the Circles be like Hogwarts, give the Dalish their own secret villages and super magic, make the Dwarves' ale not suck (and give them all the proper accents!!!), and make Tevinter a full on equality place.
