I've noticed that all the armor I've seen on women in the previews looks like the light or medium armor from ME 1 and only men seem to have 'heavy' armor. Can anyone confirm that FemShep gets heavy looking armor?

Edit: Bolded for people who can't read.

Considering that there is no 'Light, Medium or Heavy' armor in Mass Effect 2, I am fairly sure that all sexes can wear any armor.

Didn't they take armour types out in ME2?

So anyway, I don't think they would suddenly put artificial limits on what type of armour a player character can wear depending on gender. What an odd question.

In my opinion the N7 armour looks more like ME1 medium armour than heavy armour.

I think the question was "Will FemShep get solid, durable looking armor?" Rather than space-bikinis with shield generators in the frame.

They did in ME1, so I see no reason why that should suddenly be different.

They took it out, yes. Though I am going to guess (I could be wrong) that there are some tweaks to this.

Basically I'm going to guess that you will have a limit on armor upgrades based on class. Those with the equivalent of heavy armor in ME1 will get the most upgrades, and so on. So there will be a form of 'heavy armor'. Basically each upgrade has to add weight, those who are trained will be able to have more put into the armor without causing issues.

Or at least, I hope that's how it is. ;)

I think the topic's point isn't about heavy vs. medium vs. light armor type as much as the appearance of armor in ME2. I'm kind of disregarding the wording to make this assumption but i could be wrong...

Anyways, if I'm on the right track, this is the only screenshot i can think of recently that shows (barely) femshep in armor.

There is no heavy armor anymore. It's the same but with different plates you can put on it to give you other powers

I was specifically talking about the look of the armor.

Thank you for the screen shot. Wish it were a bit clearer.

Hooray I interpreted your intent correctly! :P

Check the pic above, as I said in that post I'm pretty sure that's the best we example we have right now...

All these Dragon Age pictures are confusing me.

We need to get some Mass Effect avatars up here now

Armor will now scale to whatever class you have chosen
