I'll have a gander at this as I run reports today. Number one rule when dealing with a banshee, be in a group with a fat, slow krogan so he gets grabbed before you do.
Ah...the old "I don't have to be the fastest, just faster than the Krogan technique".
Know it well.
The problem is that I am usually the krogan in these cases.

Ditto. If only I could get my Krogan to back up faster....
Also, good job, OP.

Nice vid. Now let's begin the countdown to how long it takes for someone to come in and post Spectres are slime eating racist scum.
It's hard to be negative when there isn't any negative innuendos. The best information can be moot as soon as "scrub", "newb", "L2P", et cetera get used to describe everyone that doesn't know this information.
Stopping the Praetorian was new to me. The last thing I would have thought to do was run up to it.

This. Their melee pulls you into them as well.Deerber wrote...

Quick question/request for confirmation.
During the Praetorian video it shows you walking toward the Praetorian to get him/it to drop down and start the laser animation.
Since it's a sync kill enemy, can it sync kill you at this point if you get too close? Or do you have to wait for it to drop, melee you and then it will attempt sync kill?
If it's the former, it'll take a bit of practice to know how close to get, but not too close. If it's the later, then it really doesn't matter. Again, it's more important for characters with a slow/no dodge like you mentioned in the video.
Praetorians, as every other sync capable enemy apart from Banshees, need to melee before syncing. The problem is that its melee is lightining fast and staggers, so once you get meleed is pretty hard to get out of it alive. They also cannot sync you while floating, which means that yes, they need to get on the ground, start a melee, and then sync you. Beware though, that they're pretty fast at doing that...

Good tutorial. Finally people can stop proccing the demon barrier on stuff when I'm trying to kill the bosses.
Don't count on it.

Hey when a nade is thrown it's thrown. The barrier does cause them to jam up more easily and increase the hitbox even though it does give DR.Notorious P I G wrote...

anyone can do it. I believe i used a krogan (or batarian?) just to show that its possible with a class that doesn't dodge.
You don't have to get close enough you can smell its breath, just close enough to avoid its melee range

I think that's where practice will come in. To get to know "how close" is too close.
But like any instructor, you can only show/educate people so much before they need to do it themselves. Now players have the knowledge and can practice to improve.

thats why i thought the live-interaction tutorials would be helpful. have the players practice it under my supervision (and a teams), so if they get grabbed, we can just deal enough damage so they can become unhinged and try again.
but alas, we are no longer in the prime of this game

You might also have mentioned that praetorians, banshees and phantoms can only block the damage from powers while in their bubble, if your power has a debuff aspect to it then that will still take effect regardless.
Tyhw confirmed this in another thread but I can't find it at the moment.
Edit: here's the thread, not much of a confirmation but I trust Tyhw.
As a fan of the Turian Havoc, this is really good to know

There's actually a demo of how that works up there, too.
And I'm not embarrassed about how that went at all.
Really.

So as an example, I launch a Proximity Mine at a bubbled enemy. The instant damage from the mine explosion is negated, but the 15% (for example) damage taken evo will still take effect? So while I fire at it, I'm getting a 15% damage bonus on each shot (provided it hits of course) from the mine.
Correct?

I've been wondering about that one for a while, specifically about recon mine's invasive scan.

But you did a really good job on these. I've played this game a lot and still learned a thing or two. Thanks for posting!
Edit: Only thing that I would add is breaking the Phantom sword. Obviously most vets know that, but I'm surprised how many people out there don't realize you can do it. Changes her capabilities significantly. Only sync-kill enemy that can lose her power like that.
