I'm willing to bet that that's just random speculation. And, well, screw the scars. As long as I get the terminator eyes, I'm happy.
Also, it doesn't bother me the slightest. As long as my FemShep looks like she did in ME1, I'd happy.
This. I'll be getting rid of the scars at my first opportunity but I really hope I can keep the glowing eyes. If the eyes go along with the scars, oh well. Totally not worth it to keep the scars just for the eyes imo.

I just hope character customization as a whole got an upgrade in details. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't make a Shepard that wasn't a little bit off somehow.
From the little footage we have seen of it, it looks pretty much the same, but they made a code at the bottem which i love tbh, i've see alot of good shepards that people made for ME1, myself i could never create anything that i thought looked better that default.

But FemShep gets Jen Hale for a voice so I'm content

But on-topic: I couldn't care less how graphically equivalent my Femshep is to Sheploo. She'll always be Commander Shepard, the Real commander Shepard and the unintelligent bulldog looking grunt of a man that's advertised as commander shepard is merely a poser
My sentiments exactly.

I hate this alignment affecting scars business in the first place. It makes sense in Star Wars, but I really don't think it has a place in the ME universe.
Me too. Really hated it in Fable II as well. I didn't spend 40 minutes making my ME 1 character to have her look ridiculous in ME 2 just because she's a renegade.
I've been hoping the re-design can look as good as my DAO character. That'll take another 2 hours.

There will be a quest to remove all the scars and I believe I read there will be an option to turn off all the robotic features.

My question is go femshep players, Does it bother you that your character will wont be graphically much different from ME1, With default male shepard being based on Mark Vanderloo it has far more detail that anything you could possibly make using the creator?
Also i read on old fourms that the scars from paragon and renegade status only show on default shepard that kind of sucks if true!

It's completely backwards compatible with ME1 (so your character can look the same) but I believe they added more options for stuff like hair styles and what not.

No they didn't. Everything's the same. Same hairstyles, same noses, etc. You can't give your character a scar this time around. The only scars you get are the ones from the rebuilding and they progressively worsen when you are more Renegade.ITSSEXYTIME wrote...

Seriously? There is not only nothing new they also removed the old scars?

But frankly I find it hard to believe that the quality wouldn't automatically improve...it would be a real lack of immersion of your imported Shepard stood out as not looking as high-quality as everything else...

Mass Effect PC isn't moddable, and they aren't going to release any sort of dev kit for the sequel either.wikkedjoker wrote...
Really, this only effects the Xbox. Because you know someone on the PC will mod it.
1. It runs on the Unreal Engine. The Unreal engine is built for mods.
2. It's a PC game. You have immediate access to all game files on the PC, which means files can be modified, with or without developer support. Both KOTOR games have an assload of mods, and those didn't have official dev support. Call of Duty 4, a game built on a proprietary engine, has mods for it.
If a game is on the PC, it's open to mods.

Edit: Take a look at these. Custom femShep photos, red scars and all. You guys really tend to jump the gun, you know that?

Man, how can you be arguing this when there is plainly a thread open out there that has a custom Femshep showing the scars and detail right there for you?
EDIT: oops looks like I was beaten to the punch
