Sorry, the mind reading device isn't ready yet, so I can't figure out exactly what people meant =P

I'm guessing I'm not allowed to TC -> Something combo or use Cluster Grenade since that's 3 hits at once, which is a really silly restriction if that's what you're going for.

No no it's like the boxing balls at a summer fest... The big boys standing around the ball and hit at the ball... and then the meter goes up.

Yo can't hit the ball twice, or make the ball invisible and then hit the ball. You can't take the ball of the machine do some space magic... You only can hit the ball....

So now imagine that ball is power... you push the button and the meter goes up.

Then either GT flamer, Inferno grenade or cluster grenade ... if AOE is also factored, then arc grenades may rule

Also imagine that the most obvious thing that is better than Smash isn't allowed to compete. What I'm getting here is that this is pretty much custom tailored so that Smash wins =P

Only it doesn't. Sticky Grenade can beat it.

I am a fanboy of Dark Channel.... It is the BEST power in the game.

Reave can prime/det multiple targets, but with no bonus combo damage. Smash does the same (prime/det multiple targets with no combo increase), with WAY more power damage. The only advantage Reave has over Smash is the range, which is simply a matter of playstyle/preference.

Best biotic power? Warp or AF

Reave can be stacked fast and grants DR. There both great powers though. Best is in the eyes of the beholder.

oh okay smash guy if only one action is required to count smash damage

> no using it against an enemy with protection (that requires finding such an enemy)
> no levelling it up past rank 1 (that requires more than one button press on the proper screen)
> no consumables
> no gear
> no power amp on pistol
> no power bonuses from class passive
> final destination

smash now gets beat out by several heavy melees

it's stupid to compare the statistics of only ONE power in ONE SINGLE INSTANCE, because most any class are going to use their powers in conjunction with something else (another power or weapon)

what idiot is going to use something like a human adept and only spam warp and nothing else because they think it's awesome

or a smasher who never uses anything but smash, no charge, singularity, melee, gun

we all know what happens to those that just spam biotic/electric slash

you can't eliminate everything that a character can use, strategy is part of the game

i gues your smartgun didnt even go click, click, click since it got jammed, notice how people already listed some of the skills(hence the look at the prewious comments) and the "grenades" from my other statement. so yeah. ill rather get a click, click, click sound, and get more ammo, instead of getting no sound like you, and having the gun blow up on my face with the next pull of trigger(which in this case obviously happened) now please, move on, too much laughing hurts.

Although, not only is that not a single Power (per discussion), it's also not only Powers as it involves firing a weapon.

Smash is OK, but its only a middle of the road power. Probably half of the powers in the game are better. I wouldn't spec out of it, but my biggest beef with it is its L O N G animation, making you an easy target. And odds are, by the time you complete your smash on an enemy, I've already killed it with my Harrier.
