Also, if this is true, than I fear for all the elf romance demand threads that will arise.

How is bioware going to do their rag tag team story in a universe where pretty much every race is homicidally racist against eachother?

It will be a series of misunderstandings.
Bioware is too hippie to make something out of Warhammer 40k without adulterating the nonsense of it.

Since Dark Millenium (MMO) was cancelled, this doesn't really raise my hopes.
On another note, bring on the Ork-y love.

Chaos gods did it? Big misunderstanding? Love can bloom? Mass effect fields?

Bioware will make the first video game based on a /tg/ meme ever!

I find this to be highly unlikely, given BioWare's desire to create IP of their own, like Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

PURGE THE XENO! But yeah unlikely. If anyone buys it hmm...likely Microsoft or Activision, they are all of who I would see in the top runnings for the IP.

Is it bad that I was willing to tolerate the two-faction system (races working together) proposed in Dark Millenium?

BioWare formula fits perfectly with the universe. Problem is, there aren't really any 'good guys.'
This is the trip-up, isn't it? Bioware tends to rely pretty heavily on having "good guys" and "bad guys", and your character falling into one of them (Dragon Age is the closest they've come to escaping this and even then it's still pretty prevalent).
I mean, a game based on the existing 40K RPGs like Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader would be pretty awesome, but it would require Bioware to really step outside its comfort zone. Colonel-Commissar Gaunt and/or the Tau are about as "good" as good gets in 40K and even then they can stil do some pretty nasty stuff that the average paladin child that plays Bioware games would recoil in horror against and label "evil" or "renegade" or whatever.

I'm kind of tired of Space Marines. Most 40K stuff deals with them. :/
