Keep in mind, however, that if you become king and spare Loghain, the only endings for Alistair are Drunkistair and Deadistair, since you and he can't both be king. On the other hand, you can let Alistair execute Loghain and Anora will still marry you. She only refuses if you kill him personally. (I wanted to let Alistair duel him, but I clicked on the button to make Alistair my champion, and somehow ended up dueling Loghain. Not sure if pushed wrong button, or Alistair punched my plan in the face.)

- be a male human noble.
- do not harden Alistair ( the option to harden Alistair comes at the end of his personal quest. After visiting his sister in Denerim: (1) tell Alistair that 'everyone is out for themselves', and then (2) reinforce that opinion during your next fireside chat with Alistair at camp, and Alistair's personality will be hardened. Any other dialogue options will result in him not being hardened.
- propose marriage to Anora at Arl Eamon's estate before the landsmeet
- defeat Loghain in a duel (either yourself or any party memeber) and have Alistair execute him.
- select Anora as ruler - with yourself to rule beside her.
And that'd do it.

There are two key conversations.
The first is in the cutscene immediately after you exit his sister Goldanna's house durng his personal quest 'Alistair's Family' (I assume you know how to get this quest). Alistair turns to you and says "I was expecting her to accept me without question. Isn't that what family is supposed to do? I feel like a complete idiot". You have a number of possible responses, but only "Everyone is out for themselves. You should learn that." will lead to Alistair's second hardening conversation. Everything else will result in him not being hardened.
The second hardening conversation will trigger the next time you speak to Alistair at camp (or at Arl Eamon's estate if the Landsmeet has already been called). I think it might also be necessary for Alistair's approval of you to be pretty high for this conversation to trigger, but I don't know how high, exactly. Anyway, the conversation begins with him saying: "I've been thinking about what you said..." At this point, responding with "No, that's not what I meant" will result in Alistair NOT being hardened, but anything else will result in him being officially hardened.

EVERY ENDING WHERE ALISTAIR DOES NOT BECOME KING IS BUGGED. He always refers to himself as king from after the Landsmeet on, no matter which choice you made. If you are a human noble who marries Anora and has Alistair kill Loghain, the ending is impossible to complete. Anora goes invisible and Alistair will be standing there in king's armor. He also does the king's speech for leading the charge to the battle of Denerim instead of Anora.
The only way to avoid this is to recruit Secret Companion (causing you to lose Alistair) or to make Alistair king

I'm on PC and I've done a 'marry Anora' ending and I'm pretty sure it all worked fine.
