I still pug gold now and then (eastern US), but I rarely touch platinum pugs unless I host. Not worth the wait of hosting most of the time, so I just quick match.

 From playing a bunch of MMOs over the years I've come to accept that US peeps have generally ****** poor connections subject to random events like tornadoes and civil war re-enactments.  I look upon this as suitable punishment for those damnable tea-tipping colonials!

listen i know my internet sucks its DSL for christs sake, and  i AM blaming my ISP they suck, and i cant get ANY other internet where i live. but i'm not here to discuss all that so unbunch your panties and move on, nothing to see here.
 everytime i run a speed check my speed is listed as 65-70% slower than other speedcheckers in the world

It ain't the first time you come off as an arrogant entitled american guy speaking of the crappy connections of every non-american ME3 player and their annoying voices speaking a language you don't understand and how they screw the game up for you, so don't try to turn this against me. If you don't like lag, host your own games.

well, you can look for English psn names. You can tell pretty quickly if a guy speaks your language or not just by their name.

Because America is the only country with English as it's dominate language?

I'm American on PS3 and every single game I've played has been PuG. Although, I have to admit the quality of PuG players has sharply decreased in the last week or 2.

A LOT of under 100 N7s trying to play gold/platinum.

aww you noticed *grins* thanks :wub::wub: and don't take it so personally  over the span of my time here i have  heard just as many americans with annoying open mic voices as foreigners .............. It just so happens

I play PuG'n gold all the time, or silver depending on the kit I'm trying to get 200 waves with at the moment. I'm on west coast time right now and usually on for a few games every night, more on the weekends.

Blame PS+ for the recent random awfulness.

I'm in the US, rural area, Washington state, and PUG gold on the PS3 all the time, but I host. I recently upgraded my connection and I'm hoping I can now play off-host and not have insane lag.

PUGing with bad players is a pretty good way to become better at the game. Majority of the time the randoms will be splitting spawns and bleeding out relatively fast forcing you to develop better situational awareness and kiting ability. Oh and the loadouts you see in PUGs are good for a laugh as well...

When I play with good players, I'm often wondering where the hell everything is to kill. Luckily it doesn't happen too often.
