B)

Seriously.  I only just started (Noble Human history), mind you, and have only had one battle, but now me and my lone companion are all covered in blood, and it doesn't seem to be going away.

I think there is an game option to disable this, but I don't want to disable the blood and gore, just wash it off.

You can disable it in the options and re-enable it to clean yourself immediately.

You can take off and put on your armour to clean it off.

If you have the Dog, you can ask him to clean you off.

"changing clothes" will do it, i.e. unequip and re-equip, Also, supposedly your dog will lick your armor clean but I have no idea how that's supposed to work.

Yeah, I actually already knew about getting my dog to lick me clean, but I didn't want to say that as it could be a spoiler and this new forum s/w doesn't seem to support spoiler tags.

But since you guys let the cat out of the bag already, I'll be more specific.

My dog is covered in blood, and I don't know how to clean him off. He's wearing no armor, but certainly Bioware isn't going to make him bloody for the rest of the entire game. That would be stupid. Disabling and then re-enabling the game option can't be the only way to wash him off, can it?

Because that's a cheesy solution, and I respect Bioware enough to have faith that they provided an in-game solution.  This is a role playing game after all.  Washing your mutt via the options screen sort of breaks the immersion, don't you think? <_<

Alright, I'll be patient then and wait it out.  Thanks!

There can only be an in-game solution if there's an in-game problem.

Dog doesn't mind being covered in blood. He loves it! He's such a good doggie.

You seriously think having a dog covered in blood for months (game time) is not a problem?  That's okay with you?  Interesting.  To each their own, I guess.

At any rate, contrary to the above poster's promise, the blood hasn't gone away, so I went ahead and just disabled the feature altogether.  Oh, well.

Months of game time?! Dude, you just said you -just- started the noble origin. Which for it's entirety is only 2 (game)days... I did the noble origin and I can say for a fact that when you leave the castle (finish the origin) the dog is clean when you go into the main game.

..But if your dog being covered in blood is bothering you that much, then you are the exact reason Bioware included the option to disable persistent blood in the first place. :)

New details on Dragon Age: Origins 2!!

-Now with the ability to raise Show Dogs. Comb, pet, and pamper your pretty pooch and try to win a ribbon in a dog show mini game.

That took into account BioWare's advertised "80 hour campaign" promise.  The dog was bloody; the blood wasn't going away; therefore, 80 RL hours equates to months IG.

I already stated I disabled it.  Why restate the obvious?

(Edit: Slightly reworded to be less confrontational.)
