The same dynamic applies to the "sexy dress" models as well.  Same same same with different textures applied.  I have edited several so they are not identical.  Similar, yes, because they are all in outstanding physical condition as is fitting, but identical no more.

Do you mean no more the same body texture for everyone as well? I was sick of looking at bodies of female Shep and Ashley, for example. Everybody has same 'beauty spots'! This should be definitely fixed. Every character deserves unique body and skintone too.

I don't do textures generally.  I'm not that good at it.  I only took a shot with the ONE texture I provided a link for just above and for the purposes it serves, it is at least as good as the original (which wasn't very good, quality-wise).

That said, I never noticed anything with skin being the same...that is a detail that is very small and I never see multiple female characters side-by-side to be able to tell they have the same skin.

As per a previous post I WILL do a quick and easy "fix" to the underwear texture (Ashley's and others?) by only removing the shear panel in the back (the "fart vent").  That is such an easy fix it will only take me a few minutes to complete and post.  It will be the same bra and panties texture so you can get it without having to go with the topless version I provided just above.

Well, is that possible at least to change body textures and make skin unique for every character or it will also change other characters' body texture too? I can edit these via Photoshop, but I'm not good at working with transparent textures.

@Getorex: I fully love what you're doing here and I often find myself lurking in this thread. Also I'm kinda glad when you mentioned a few pages back that you liked Ashley's current casual ^^' and since you're tinkering with it, would it be possible for femshep to wear your version too?

Another question: when will your mod be complete? And once it's finished, will it feature an auto installer in it (like the one wavion makes for MEHEM)? Sorry if I sounded like a noob, well, that's because I am one, heh ^^'

Also I've red your ideas about 'tweaking' some parts of Rannoch in MrFob's thread, man that would be awsome if it can be implemented. Because honestly, after Tuchanka.. There's not much of an 'exciting' mission to go through (for me at least). Idk, things just kinda went downhill after that..

I'll look into an installer but, in truth, it isn't really hard at all without one.  All that would be involved is downloading a modified pcc file (I will supply), make a backup copy of the original and replace it with the downloaded version, run TOCbinupdater in ME3Explorer.  That's it.

It would be possible to give a femshep the Ashley casual/default uniform just as WV was able to give femshep Liara's default uniform in his demo of the new import process.  I might make a variant of the Ashley default and name it a "femshep version".  I'm trying to NOT make all the main female characters look physically identical.

-sigh- many thanks in advance

Sure it's possible.  Each character has it's own texture(s), even if they are identical across characters each character has a pcc file with a texture in it for face, body, eyes, etc.  Since they are not simply referencing a central texture file it is possible to change each character's skin texture to be unique.

The Ashley romance texture has a set skin tone to it.  There appears to also be a more generic (and otherwise identical) texture that is used for others (probably mainly femshep since you can control her skin tone).  It has an odd bleached out appearance that is used as a basis for the skin upon which different tones are applied.  But that bleached out version is individually installed in different character pcc files, repeatedly.  As far as moles (or beauty marks) that is simple to change.  You can either eliminate this one or that one (or all of them) in GIMP or Photoshop or you can easily move them around (I'd use clone and then either blend or clone again to copy a clean part of the skin over the original).  It means doing the work that Bioware didn't see the need to do - creating subtley different skin textures for a specific body for each character (the only one wherein it matters - the underwear model).  Frankly, I agree with Bioware on this one.  You never see the characters in their underwear together so you cannot see the same moles, etc, in the same places.  I would have preferred they did the extra work and made unique bodies, no matter how similar the dress/uniform might be on that body.  They didn't so I am trying to, as well as correcting some odd anatomical errors.  For texture magic, you are best to ask Ottemis, Saltisgood, ELE, etc.  They are masters.

If you want a skin texture for your femshep similar to the one I did specifically for Ashley, talk to wavion, his is based on the alpha texture...the odd "bleached out" base skin.  The textures work on my edits just fine.  They do not need to be altered in any way to work (I may have to tweak a few vertices to make my meshes look perfect for different textures however...something I have been doing as a matter of course recently).

Ah...there's the rub.  Never seen that and I've not been messing with male meshes as they were not "sexed up" or given anatomical errors, though I've considered making my Shepard bigger, more muscular than the default (but not close to Vega level).

if you do that, well the other male NPCs who share the same body model like shep get that as well.

I'll check on that.  Usually, a character addresses a set of pcc files that are their's alone.  A character may use the same body as another character (NPC or not) but with different textures pasted onto it but in each case, the pcc files still contain its own copy of that body.  This means that it is possible, at least for main characters, to alter a generic body (like the romance scene, hospital scene, sexy dress bodies of Ashley, others) that is used over and over but in a way that is unique to each character.  This should be the same for male shepard - it is certainly true of femshep.

This reminds me...I want to pull Jacob out and tweak his body proportions.  He has always hit me wrong...his trunk is too long for his legs (or vice versa) so I want to see about bringing his hips up to make his legs a little longer.  Just a nit but it ALWAYS hits me that he is...oddly proportioned whenever I see him.

So tell me; How far away are we from being able to have this (the one on the left specifically):

If this is already possible, how can I get this? I really HATE the existing casual outfit.

Man, I'd love to Ash in the second outfit as the default choice instead of her usual catsuit. I don't hate the catsuit that much I guess, but I think having her in more regular Alliance gear like Kaidan would look much better.

Far left isn't really bad but center requires editing.  Her shoulder's are too narrow/hips too wide.  I'll work on such edits.

Actually the far left has parts of her breasts sticking through.

This is however my preference. I'd like this same uniform for Kaidan and the other Marines as it's far more appropriate as a uniform for them. I think it's the best option. I do HATE the cat-suit. Ultimately I'd also like to give Ash a female version of the standard Alliance Marine armour (and to give the male version to Kaidan & James).

When I'm back at my computer, besides proceeding to get my current edits into pcc files for distribution, I will get on this issue because it would be so quick and easy to do.  I will edit the left and middle bodies so there is no chest bleed-through (left) and fix the body proportions to fit those of romance and hospital Ashley (left and middle).   Also...the hair...where specifically can I find that hair in the images?  It seems to fit reasonably well (wont know for sure until I look at it in 3ds stuck onto Ashley's bare head).  I have a number of different short or bun or ponytail hair meshes pulled out (earlier in thread) but each one of them requires adjustment to fit the shape of Ashley's head vs the head they were designed for.

As for the armor at far right...ugh...I am morally opposed to white armor unless it is for combat in snowfields :pinched: BUT I think I'll pull it as well (From ME2?  Ashley's brief appearance in that game?) and tweak it a bit so there's no chest bleed-through there either.  I may also do my second ever texture edit and change the white to something better...blue, grey, black...olive green...as well.  Or perhaps a texture wizard (hint hint) would make a camo texture...urban or multicam.

Just a quick question Getorex, can femshep's alternate casuals be accessed and selected via her armory / locker?

Btw I agree on your take on Jacob's bod, for some reason it just doesn't seemed to look right and his armor (if you can even call it that) doesn't help much imho. Nice to know that you have plans for him ^^v

I wonder when the ME3 explorer binaries get updated with the .upk mesh import option? At the moment I only have Eclipse installed and feel a bit lazy right now... :P Already converted the ME2 classy hair to .upk but now I should do the SVN checkout and compile latest.

@Tup3xi: that dress looks beautiful! I'm almost afraid to ask, but do you need the kasumi dlc fromm me2 to make this mod work?? (I'm hoping against all hopes that the answer will be a 'no' since I absolutely really HATE that black dress with that dumb chain. Not to mention that Brooks get to wear the same design different colours on that casino heist. Urk!)

HAH.  I did that already.  I modded Miranda so her butt is not a bubble anymore, just a nicely shaped butt and I removed the wedgie.  However, the shadowing in the texture still makes it appear like a wedgie.  I've attempted to reduce the shadow a bit to make it less prominent but, again, I am not a texture editor dude.

On another note (back to my fav ME woman: Ashley...sorry) but here's a very recent edit of her default uniform.  What do ya'll think?  It's the shoulders to pay attention to.

As promised last week,  I am back at my PC converting my edits into upks for import into the game.  Stay tuned.

Sure...some just don't like the uniform (by definition it is not a "uniform" as she is the ONLY person in the game to wear it, hence it cannot be a uniform :)

Anyway, it will be on offer as an alternative.  Now I have to finish getting my current edits into upks and also get the alliance uniforms in the Ashley images above/previous out, edited, and into upks.

My biggest issue is trying to find where UDK hides my upk packages when I make them.  UDK confuses me.

I like the design just fine :) may I throw in a few sugestion? Not sure if its applicable though, but maybe lower her boots to just below the knee instead over it? The striping on the pants gets to be move to the side instead of the front and as per iakus' mention maybe a bit of color change from her original blue to somewhat of a navy blue (darker, almost close to black)

That being said, it's just my 0.02 creds XD. I'm still holding and shaking my poms poms here for you, can't wait to try out your mods (but pls take your time =) .. )

Yeehaw, get the squaredance started! I just tested Ashley in the hospital - my mod that gives her a t-shirt. No problems. Conversation goes fine, no graphic artifacts.  Her face is also slightly altered (uniform across my Ashley mods):

and finally (note the boobs are no longer individually wrapped with a painted-on "t-shirt". She HAS a t-shirt form now:
