Odd situation...I just had to re-do Tali's default uniform/body because while my first edit (Blender) works fine in BioH_Tali_00.pcc, it does not work in BioH_Tali_00_Explore.pcc or BioH_Tali_00_NC.pcc. Somewhat similar to the Ashley situation where it is impossible to change her uniform in BioH_Ashley_00_NC.pcc even when the weights are perfect/the same. Bizarre and puzzling.

So...now Liara default and Liara armor default works, as does EDI and EDI alternate body. Not sure why Tali works in some pcc files but not in others. I thought a pattern was emerging but then Liara and EDI blew the pattern away.

Also...Miranda works.

As for Tali and Ashley...the edits work fine for the most part.  Ashley and Tali cause issues with ME3Explorer/Meshplorer however.  Once their mesh is imported (upk file) into certain pccs the mesh will not display in Meshplorer.  Hard to say if this is a universal sign that the mesh isn't going to work in the game as yet.

This is a screenshot of Ashley in the modded armor and Tali in the modded alternative uniform. In Ashley's case, her breasts are a little smaller (more in tune with ME1) and her hips narrower. With Tali, her breasts are bigger and her hips narrower (more human-normal). If you took a look at Tali's breasts in the original alternate uniform in 3ds or Blender, you would see a ghastly sight: she has the saggy, baggy breasts of a woman no younger than 110 years old :) Literally...they were hanging like mostly empty bread sacks. I perked them up for her:

This image also shows some of the clipping that drives me nuts in the game. Ashley's right shoulder plating is disappearing a little into her chest. I will be reducing the offending armor plate's size a bit to reduce the chance of clipping (a LOT of armors in the game do that and I will likely try to tweak them one-by-one to reduce it).

Glad to know that it's actually works. But I also wonder if you gonna make a hybrid version of Tali with your upper body fixes and default (or your version of it) wide hips. I like 'em wide. I think it's Quarian special sign like a 'hump' on the back of Krogan. Quarians may look like humans but they're still quarians.
Good luck with your next edits!

Don't get so swept up with hunting down every clipping issue that you forget to release, now ;)

I hope to get them into mods rather than straight upks or pcc files, though There may be one or two that have to be as pcc. Because I have found a few that cause problems I am going through them to make sure I know which are solid and which need do-over and which just won't ever work (for example, you cannot change Ashley's uniform at the beginning of the game on Earth, there are problems changing Tali in another particular pcc, there MAY be a problem changing Ashley's body in the romance scene - body not the texture).

No worries. I can have both...the upper body alterations are easy compared to the more drastic changes the hip width, moving both legs as well, or posture changes of shifting all the lower body forward. Lots of blending required.

I just finished editing Liara's romance body and produced edits of Tali with the breast augmentation but no hip changes. I'm now ready to start generating mod files for the various edits.

Man, you really deserve a glass of fine beer. It's the least I can do to express my graditude for all your amazing work.

Heh.  Let's wait until the mods actually work for people and don't crash the game...THEN I'll accept your beer (or 3). ;)

I know the Ashley default uniform edit works at the beginning of the game and I know her armor works but I am getting a crash when I try to restart the Mars mission from the beginning...not sure the cause yet.  Perhaps it is BioH_Ashley_01_NC.pcc or maybe its just me.

Oh...if anyone has problems with crashing at some point in the game after using my mods let me know where it happens BUT don't flood me.  If there are posts about a crash that is the same as yours don't repeat it - I'll check out whatever crash occurs and, if necessary, re-do the mesh again .

Check the OP for MOD files. You need ME3Explorer to apply the mods. More tomorrow.

Got the Ashley mods installed minutes ago (incl. hospital), and just about to start testing. :)

Looking forward to a standard Alliance uniform for on the Normandy. I'll have to check out the Miranda and Tali mods too.

I've got Ashley Alliance uniforms in the works...they just can't be used at the very beginning of the game (for some reason).  ANY body used to replace Ashley's default uniform on Earth at the very beginning goes crazy and displays wrong.  No idea why.  The rest of the game shouldn't be a problem (hopefully).  I've already adjusted one uniform to fit her head's cleavage attachment.

Funny thing is, for her current uniform, if the collar were closed up and the color scheme darkened to a midnight blue or black (and the thigh high/garter thing weren't so obvious), I could probably buy that it's a military uniform. Of course, her head attachment probably makes that less than feasible.

Odd. Just loaded up the hospital scene and she looks the same as before.

EDIT: Let me try using the MOD file instead of the PCC you gave me earlier.

EDIT EDIT: Installed the .mod, same story. Guess I'm doing something wrong. Does this, perhaps, only apply to the second hospital visit? Or would I need to restart the level or something?

What?  Are you sure?  The thing with that scene is the tshirt is so dark that it can be hard to tell at first (I use flycam to confirm).  I will check that mod out to make sure it does contain the tshirt mod body in it.

DeinonSlayer: my mistake...the pcc used to make the mod didn't have the mod in it! I've just created it and am uploading/replacing the original. In about 10 minutes try downloading the mod again.

Done.  The old Mod is replaced with the correct one containing the actual tshirt mod. :pinched:http://www.mediafire...ital-tshirt.mod

The thigh-high/garter thing can be fixed with a texture redo because it is entirely in the texture.  There is nothing in the mesh itself that maps the top of the boots to mid-thigh.  It would be just as "easy" to retexture the mesh so that the boots end just below the knees or mid-calf.  It could even be possible in texture to make her head mesh for the default uniform appear to have a tshirt on under the blue jacket...but I'm not a texture jockey.

I downloaded ME3-Explorer and some of your MODs. Now what can I do to make them work? MOD is not an archive, is it?

I'll look into the process.  That is a texture mod and I've never done one of those.

First off, I am replacing the Ashley hospital mod with a new one...there were problems with the original I posted so if that is one you downloaded, re-download it.

As for applying the mods, you start ME3explorer, select the menu item "Tools" and then "Mod Maker".  You then go to "Files" and load the mod(s) you want.  They will list in the window below.  When you've loaded the desired mods into the list you select the "Run" menu item and "Run All" or "Run Selected" as appropriate.  It will process and apply the mods and then come up with a dialog "Found (some number) of Updates.  Apply them?".  Click yes.  A new dialog will pop up indicating success and completion.  That's it.

I'll post these instructions in the OP.

Re: texture mods, found instructions here, but haven't had a chance to test it yet. I was going to do a trial run replacing Tali's photo, move from there to high-res textures, maybe reskin Nightmare armor.
