As for Ashley's face, you are the first that's mentioned a problem.  What sort of issue are you having?  I have all the Ashley mods installed and, so far, no issues so I'm curious.  I could recreate the mod with the latest ME3explorer and see if that helps.

I was getting an error during the install with Ashley's face - don't remember the error message. From what I've read though yeah it may have something to do with it being an earlier build of ME3Explorer. With the Liara issue I was getting a lock-up trying to get to my ship cabin... so I "uninstalled" the mesh mods (both Liara mesh mods you offered) and no more lock-ups. I got lock ups with the all of the mesh mods except for the Tali face mod you've made and the N7 glass helmet face mod. I didn't really want to bother you with any of this, I figured you'd probably tweak on all of them with more current ME3Explorer builds and I'd try them again later. Too much complaining may have come across like I didn't appreciate all the mod work.

Please, don't hold back on bugs. Things like the face mod or other uniform mods are done so are fairly quick and easy to re-create. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

No prob. I just try to be encouraging at the same time, or not "pile it on". I've seen a lot of people get discouraged and abandon mods because *some* mod-users get entitled and get mean and nasty to the mod-makers.

First the good news. Tali's alternate uniform face mod works in the game without crashes or lockups.

The bad news is she looks like this:

It took me waking up this morning to realize the issue. Somehow her body material was misassigned to the vocoder/voice light material (little round light that blinks with her talking in the center of her breather mask). The glow seen above is constant but flickers in brightness when she speaks.

Previous attempts to get a more-than-slightly-modified Tali alternate uniform working in-game had failed. Apparently any changes I made from the belly down completely destroys her body weighting. I manually repainted the weights, correcting stray unweighted or incorrectly weighted vertices after-the-fact, and got her working in game. Now to reassign materials and she will be done(ish).

More progress...reassigned materials and tried again:

OOPS...still wrong. Now her body has the visor material and the visor the body material:

Another change and FINALLY correct. Now if I could just locate the ONE vertex in her right ankle somewhere that is weighted for something in the left leg...visor opacity is still too high so I need to tweak that down a bit more:

She works but...I note her eyes keep bugging out too much as they move around. *Sigh* I think I need to shift her face bones back a wee bit because shifting her eyeballs back didn't change anything. Changed to 89% opacity on the visor for her alternate uniform and that is pretty good from what I could see in the brief run here.

The Alternate face mod is going to take a little bit longer than expected. Her eyes are being dicks - when she moves her eyes they bulge out all wrong. I haven't found the fix for that yet but when I do the face mod, en toto, will be finished except for minor glitch fixing. Or perhaps seeing if there's any way to alter the final animation on Rannoch so when Tali takes off her mask she turns her head to look over her shoulder at Shepard and smiles. THAT would put a cherry on top of this mod.

Your work is appreciated, looking forward to trying this out when you're ready. If you can reveal her face when she takes off her mask I agree with the previous poster - Tali fans would probably build a shrine to your greatness. ^_^

I've been looking into the animation for Tali on Rannoch when she remove the visor to breath the air (win peace for Geth and Quarians or choose Quarians) and it isn't actually an editable animation.  It appears to be more a cutscene movie that is triggered depending on the outcome.  That means to redo it I would have to create a duplicate movie to replace the original scene with Tali turning a little and looking over her shoulder to smile at Shepard.  Not impossible (given what MrFob and others have done) but not simple.  At this point I'm still trying to fix Tali's alternate uniform bugeyed problem so I can release that one to go with the default uniform face mod.

 For the purists who don't insist on biological plausibility or reasonability :innocent: I am now pretty sure that giving Tali the glowing eyes again is fairly simple BUT instead of the blank, featureless glowing cataract eyes, I will use a colored eye texture (I have several to test) and have the glow apply over that.

Beautiful Tali mod.

Unfortunately I can't used it since I've applied so many Tali mods beforehand. I don't even know which PCCs I should restore to get her back to vanilla haha.

Not that many.  BioH_Tali_00.pcc, BioH_Tali_00_Explore.pcc, BioH_Tali_00_NC.pcc are the only pcc files affected by the Default Uniform Face Mod (as of now...it will expand, at most, to maybe 2 more involving the Citadel (as in CitHub, not Citadel DLC yet) and romance.

Note: WarrantyVoider has released a dll that allows for MUCH easier DLC modding. http://me3explorer.f...6503.html#p6503 With this you no longer need worry about not being able to start your game with modded DLC (no more needing to replace the ME3 launcher with a hacked version. It means that mesh modding DLC is now much easier.

Yes and no.  Yes, it works with HD because I took the default Tali HD uniform texture and modded it to work with the new face.  You MUST use the included HD texture with the mod or her face, eyes, eyelashes, mouth parts will be improperly textured.

The same will apply to the Alternate Uniform face mod.  

I had to use hi-rez HD textures to allow me the room to get a good resolution face texture stuck in.

Getting closer (so it appears). Tali's Alternate Uniform with face mod. Her eyes are still too buggy but not as bad as before and the visor opacity is still darker than I am aiming for.

Update. I started over with the alternate uniform face mod. It's now about 90% finished again and THIS time I hope its eyes work properly. It seems that no 3ds Max wizards knew how, or wanted to help, to get Tali's eyes working properly. I got tired of dinking around for hours and days on this one thing so startover was quickest option.

See, second time around it's MUCH faster than the first. This is Tali Alternate Uniform Face mesh model with her new eyes (they SHOULD glow too) and she is completely weighted. Just have to finish a few minor details with the UV maps and test her out (and hope her eyes behave).

I actually like this version better. It was cleaner throwing it all together, I was able to delete extraneous interior stray vertices (there in the game original!), her face went in cleaner, the mods to the helmet were smoother (and I deleted those tabs that stuck up just besides her eyes). Initially I tried to use her original eyes but the just weren't shaped or sized properly.

I used Liara's romance body (almost any bod would do) as a template to clean up the body weights and especially the face weights.  The skinwrap I did got only the most basic weighting setup but I had to do a lot of manual adjusting, with the face done from zero. She should be even better in the face animation, very close to other standard characters.

Sounds great.  When do you think it'll be ready?

I'd also like to say that I admire your persistence.  I would have given up and burned several major cities in frustration long ago.

What makes you think I haven't burned entire countries? I may be able to test her tomorrow and if goes well, get her out soon after, then I will alter the original to have the same eyes.
